Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorCould abandoning the Kurds be the start of a schism between the Evangelicals and Trump?
When it comes to dealing with Christian homophobia are reciprocity and tolerance principles to adhere to or fig-leaves to conceal bigotry?
David Silverman is to become executive director of Atheist Alliance International.
A pastor used the death of a baby girl as a sermon illustration because her mother does not believe in the god he believes in.
Bill Barr is tilting at the windmills of “new secular religion” to empower Christians to continue their campaign of increasing their religious privilege to discriminate against non-Christian citizens. Tennessee’s governor ignores the words of the Gospel and calls for a “day of prayer, humility and fasting”. Apparently such calls “bear a presumption of constitutionality”. If only atheists would stop causing trouble. The Supreme Court returns to the bench tomorrow and will help Project Blitz continue. It not as if there is a Christian legal army working with the conservative deep state. Just let them get on with it! No, I don’t think so because the “Nones” are beginning to understand the importance of organized secularism in politics.
The Cuddly One is been asked to answer claims that he does not believe in the divinity of Jesus. Next week he will answer questions about what the bear does in the forest. Could it all be a distraction from the Vatican’s latest financial scandal?

Devout Irish Catholics are going crazy again with the latest image of the Virgin Mary on an antique cabinet. I did once see the Big Bang in a slice of toast though.

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorHave a great week everyone!!
“My lack of faith in God is not a dilapidated house.
It does not need to be razed to the ground or burned down to cinders.
I refuse to be the wounded woman on a cross
that you crucify with your disapproval like nails;
I will only be the woman who believes in thunderstorms
the same way lightning loves the tops of trees it strikes
every time it gets tired of being pent up in an unforgiving sky,
the only difference is that I believe these are natural weather phenomena, not God’s belly rumbling or synapses firing.
When my doorway is filled with groups of people
wielding religious conversion pamphlets like crossbows,
I will be the martyr who steps aside to let the arrows
crack through the plaster in my wall instead of piercing my chest.
This is not a eulogy to the believer I could have been.
This is a battle cry to the believer I always have been,
believer in sunsets like splashes of paint, hand-holding
like willow branches brushing one another, new mornings
after old nights spent drowning in despair, believer
in love as an entire language instead of a single word.
Just because my beliefs align themselves on a different spectrum
does not mean they are the wrong wavelength or color.
And even though I think the universe was created by the Big Bang
instead of a God with magic dust shooting from his fingertips,
my universe does not contain fewer stars.”– Meggie Royer.

Jody LeeParticipantGood stuff, Reg. Thanks!
The evangelicals who support Trump are so blind that abandoning the Kurds won’t effect how they feel about him. It’s become an obsession at this point.
FSM help me if I ever meet Jeremy Lobdell. Disre-fucking-spectful.
Sounds like Pope Francis has answered the question pretty plainly.
“A majority of the commenters on the Facebook post said that they do indeed see a likeness of the Virgin Mary in the grain of the cabinet, with many adding in “Amen.” 😂😂
You guys are my meetup.
I really enjoyed that poem, Reg.

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorThanks very much Jody Lee.
Some of the Evangelicals are now against Trump. It is difficult to know whose side God is on in all of this.
Unfortunately there are many liars for Jesus that preach in a similar manner to Lobdell. They have little or no empathy and are only preachers to give themselves some sense of power and undeserved respect within their communities. I would be having words in person with him if I could.
I have a picture, similar to the image on the cabinet that FB would ban me for publishing on that page. It would be worth it but the comments are restricted.
Another poem in a few minutes….

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorThe foul engendered worm
Feeds on the flesh of the life-giving form
Of our most Holy and Anointed One.
He is not risen, no,
He lies and moulders low;
Christ is not risen.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust;
As of the unjust, also of the just –
Christ is not risen.
…
Is He not risen, and shall we not rise?
Oh, we unwise!
What did we dream, what wake we to discover?
Ye hills, fall on us, and ye mountains, cover!
In darkness and great gloom
Come ere we thought it is our day of doom,
From the cursed world which is one tomb,
Christ is not risen!
Eat, drink, and die, for we are men deceived,
Of all the creatures under heaven’s wide cope
We are most hopeless who had once most hope,
We are most wretched that had most believed.
Christ is not risen.
Eat, drink, and play, and think that this is bliss!
There is no Heaven but this!

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorI think the farmers will be the ones to topple Trump, long before impeachment or the Evangelicals.

StregaModeratorThanks, Reg!

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorThanks Strega, I wonder how the Saints NFL team will do in their next game?
October 13, 2019 at 11:18 pm #28870
Jody LeeParticipantYes. The farmers are pissed. And they’re from the big swing states…

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorMike Pompeo is still leading the way for Jesus.

UnseenParticipantDevout Irish Catholics are going crazy again with the latest image of the Virgin Mary on an antique cabinet. I did once see the Big Bang in a slice of toast though.
I didn’t see the Holy Virgin on that cabinet. It’s far easier to see Jesus on this dog’s ass.

Or is that an Eskimo? Maybe that’s the Inuit Jesus.

PopeBeanieModerator[…] on this dog’s ass.I seen this before and love it. I hope it’s real. I mean, not photoshopped.
October 17, 2019 at 5:04 pm #28926
StregaModeratorPopie, my dogs arse looks the same. No need to photoshop, goddidit for us 🙂
October 17, 2019 at 6:29 pm #28927
Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorNo it is real. My neighbor had a dog with a Jesus butt. I would always make the sign of the cross when I saw him.
I much prefer to worship the Immaculate One.
