jakelafortParticipantEnco,
I don’t think Netflix’ tends to promote its content so that you would encounter it organically.

Enco,
Fauda is a good series. Another one in that genre is Lioness. I am really enjoying that one. I think it is just Paramount though with a few episodes on Prime.
That’s a pity. Paramount has a great line-up, including every Star Trek series and every Star Trek movie, but I had too many technical problems with the service to justify spending money on it. Maybe Ellison has improved the service. Must try later if the economy survives MAGA and/or the D.S.A.

Well, normally. I’ll see streaming movies and series like the Yellowstone franchises and the Oppenheimer or Wicked movies cross-promoted and co-branded on boxes for different TVs.
If Netflix was game for promoting Fauda, it could promote it in the same way, maybe just in time for Channukah or Passover.🕎✡️
Heck, Yellowstone is promoted with the literal cattle brand shape on hats and T-shirts and even with Yellowstone™ Brand frozen entrees. (Just don’t mention “organic” in the same breath with Yellowstone in front of the Duttons; them might be “fightin’ words.” 🤠😉😁)
Regardless of whether Netflix is scared to promote Fauda, it is good that people who live in Israel’s hostile neighbor nations like the series.
It may be a sign that there’s a light on in their heads after all and that their Mullahs and Dictators are losing their grip!😁

jakelafortParticipantEnco,
Check this video. Here is a firsthand account of a Lebanese woman of the vile Jew hating culture that is endemic in the middle east. Like i said when this debate started about Israel it is the culture dummy. There is nothing intrinsic about people in the middle east that hatred of Jews/Israel is imperative. Otherwise i would be a de facto Nazi/lefty positing immutable characteristics. (I do however truly think there are differences among populations and yet the commonality of all humans is the overriding lesson.)
I am quite skeptical that many will do a 180 after seeing Fauda on their Jew hating viewpoint/Palestinianism. But idk.

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorI am quite skeptical that many will do a 180 after seeing Fauda on their Jew hating viewpoint/Palestinianism…
I have been interacting with ‘Hamas’ supporters for over 20 years. I will aver that in that time they have become ‘stupider more’. They are now so uninformed (or maybe ‘ill-informed’ is a better term) that they are a different species to what they used to be. So some will not watch Fauda because it will be seen as ‘Zionist Propaganda’ and others won’t because they will believe that the trigger warning of not being “based on actual events” is missing. But because it is so well structured and acted, I think (hope) some of them will snap out of it.
If anyone wants to watch it, start at S1 E1 so that the interactions between the main characters in S5 will have greater meaning.

jakelafortParticipantReg,
My guess was Zionist propaganda. Was not aware of the other potential reaction. I guess the cult is that wacked.
What is also cool about the series is that Doron (not sure of his name) lived the part he played as a commander of a counter-terrorism operative. The stress all spies must endure is unimaginable when they literally embed themselves among the enemy. And as the Fauda series makes clear the terrorists are hip to the potential of infiltration into their ranks.
September 15, 2026 at 8:19 pm #61682
Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorJake,
Yes, Doron is the real deal. He lives the role. He is a very believable character both as an ‘ordinary Israeli family man’ and even more so as a fluent Arabic speaking Muslim ‘spy’.
I would consider the series in the same league as ‘Breaking Bad’ or ‘Homeland’. I was surprised to read it is No 1 on Netflix in Lebanon.

What most surprised me was that the series had viewers from Gaza!. You know the place where the “Genocide” is supposed to be occurring?!?
You know, I seriously doubt that even if they had improvised, hobbled-together, covert crystal radio sets, there would have been any inmates of Dachau enjoying performances of Wagner like Gazans evidently like an Israeli Netflix show!
Chalk another one up for absurd “From-the-River-to-the-Sea” sewage!

Of course, and this proven by the existence of Israeli Arab and even Muslim citizens. Ibn Warraq, who wrote Why I’m Not A Muslim has recounted that even when he was a believer, he admired the Israelis so much he volunteered to serve in what became known as The Six-Day War. The Recruitment Office thanked him for his support, but had no openings at the time.
This all a matter of “You have to Be Carefully Taught” stuff. What makes the support for Fauda so amazing is the 1390+-year-old brainwashing against Jews that the audience soaked.
September 15, 2026 at 11:11 pm #61685
jakelafortParticipantGood point Enco.
Yeah I am sure there are malcontents among the Arab Israelis and surely more Arab Muslims than Arab Christians proportionally. And yet i doubt many would change their citizenship. Also ardent Arab Israeli supporters of the state serving in the government and in the IDF. They know how much better Israel is than other states in their region.
Druze are outstanding citizens wherever they live. Just like Jews. Wherever they go loyal to their adoptive states and disproportionate representation in the military. Loyal but also maintaining their independent culture unlike Muslims who are at first conciliatory and later seek power and imposition of their religion when their numbers are sufficient. Like the Bundists who opposed Zionism because they were loyalists and wanted Jews to assimilate. I had a revolutionary great great great in Russia who took this position but changed it quite naturally after the holocaust.
BTW citizenship applications for Druze in Golan Heights is way up. Sweida where the recent massacre occured i think the sentiment is there but there is a reluctance to appear disloyal in bloody Syria.
My dad, a navy pilot, also volunteered for the 6 day war. Or maybe it was the war in 1973. I just remember him saying he might not return. But he was rejected even though he had commendations for achievements as a flyer.

I just now finished the video. Rowan Osman’s story confirmed precisely what I was saying about brainwwshing of Arabs and Muslims against all things Jewish and Israeli.
This is one of PragerU’s better videos. Some of his videos are notorious for false dillemmas and distinctions without difference, as well as mischaracterize Atheism and Secularism.and defer way to much to Christianity. Here it’s just a woman finding out happily how mistaken we all can be.
September 16, 2026 at 12:24 am #61687
jakelafortParticipantOh my how wrong you are Enco!
The hostility against state of Israel is earned. It is settler colonial apartheid genocide that is the bugaboo and obstacle to….well everything…like the obsession with just this one state and its right to exist though a more justified one i can’t well conceive. Cuz literally every place on earth has been invaded and invaded and conquered. Ok north pole…nobody wants it. Arab Muslims are obsessed with human rights. That is manifest and evident in their states. It helps explain those 5 Arab armies coming to the rescue against the outnumbered Zionists back in 48. They care so much about rights of the indigenous Palestinians. If only Palestine can be river to see and juden free rights will flourish as never before. Thus the alliance red and green is a result of ideological congruence.
Not only the middle east but lefties everywhere only care about human rights. They are up in arms over the executions in Iran. And that massacre i just mentioned in Syria they were up in arms. The list might never end if we acknowledged their righteous protests.
I have known the truth for decades. It is just much worse than i realized. And i appreciated after learning about UNWRA how disingenous the lefties are. Worse than i had appreciated. Way back i dissuaded my wealthy Jewish landlord of my commercial space not to send his daughter to the middle east. Told him how indoctrinated they were and about the textbooks. He listened.
If we ever hope to achieve peace we must explore human nature and jettison the hatred and constructs of far right and far left.

OK, Mackelemore! 😉😁:
Talk about going from so right to so wrong!
Macklemore went from rappin’ rhapsodic for freedom to love for all, regardless of how they swing…
…to supporting the loveless Hamas hangmen who would make everyone in the above video swing from a crane!
