Science — the kind that requires evidence and reason. 8 years, 10 months agoEric Temple Bell’s four-volume set, “Mathematics: Queen and Servant of Science” impressed me greatly when I read it about sixty years ago while I was earning a degree in mathematics.

It is a beautifully written math book. I view math as a language that helps us to understand and communicate about the universe, but yeah…an incorrect assertion about the universe can be wrong, even if all the math is correct.

Notable Atheists 10 years, 9 months agoThis is a great list. Although I don’t think one needs to be an “older American” to recognize these people. Maybe I’m just refusing to consider my middle-age to be “older” hehehe.
