The sadistic rewards of cancel culture.

The Charlie Kirk purge: How 600 Americans were punished in a pro-Trump crackdown.

Now that the Right are cancelling the Left – are the woke still in love with cancel culture?

[Far-right nutter] Delay told Reuters that he believes in “accountability and consequences” and that “if you publicly say abhorrent things and get fired from your job, I’m going to laugh at you.”

That’s pretty much what woke people used to say.  I don’t think we should cancel people, I think we should talk to them and debate them.

I’ve been listening to the BBC Radio 4 series about Kate Clanchy who was cancelled for writing what some people found to be a racially insensitive novel.  When everything blew up, the publishers wet their pants at being accused of racism, understandably, and promptly threw her under the bus, lying in the process, saying they had tried to stop her, when they didn’t.

Everyone wants to be seen to be doing the right (“progressive”) thing, to be anti-racist, pro-trans, pro-gay, etc.; to be nice people.  If a non-White someone says they found something racist, then nobody’s going to question it.  I don’t know if Clanchy’s book is racist or not, but it does sound a bit insensitive.  I think we should be able to discuss it without acting like she’s just murdered a child.

Yes, cancel culture is sadistic and nasty, and does nobody any favours.

And now the War on ‘Wokeness’ comes to the U.S. Mint……

How will the far left react to the conclusion regarding egalitarianism?

Listening to this guy who is not taken in by lefty mythology is great. Other than his attribution to christian values i think he is spot on. Very similar to what i was saying to a group of lefties who could not even respond once to anything substantive. I was simply a racist.

I have to say, I think the designs that made it through look more inspiring than a pair of shackled wrists or Rosa Parks.  I think they’re more universal too.  But I deplore Trump’s fascist takeover.

I don’t agree with a War on Woke either.  I like wokeness.  I just don’t like cancel culture.  It’s given wokeness a bad name.  Again, instead of launching a war on it, and using Machiavellian means, people should just uses debate and reason.

Censorship never gets anyone anywhere.  When the trans lobby was saying “if you debate this subject then trans people will kill themselves” – that shut down legitimate research and debate, and left people bereft of scientific knowledge.

    Simon,

If you would give the aspects of wokeness that you are supporting.

Debunking the myth of truly egalitarian societies in human history.

We knew this already.  Present-day hunter-gatherers are not so egalitarian.  Except for the Batek of Malaysia, who are very egalitarian and do not have patriarchy, and the article does not contradict this.

    demand-sharing, risk-pooling, status-levelling, prosocial reputation-building, consensus-based collective decision-making, and residential mobility

These are the factors thought to foster egalitarianism, and they come as a lifestyle.  In these groups, there is a strong anti-authority ethos that makes it hard for power to get started.

Most modern groups are not fully mobile, they settle down and start farming and getting possessions like livestock, and that’s when the power structures start.  So, it’s hard to find models of prehistoric hunter-gatherers, in today’s world.

Just the general pro-human rights, pro-sexual freedom (except pedophiles), anti-racist, that’s it.

I think Republicans who are not being crooked snakes should have a respectable platform.  If they are being crooked snakes, they will have manufactured a platform and the rest of us need to push back somehow.

Charlie Kirk?  I don’t know much about him.  It sounds like he used his free speech to try and silence others.  But I respect his “debate me” stance.

Simon the following that you adduce are indeed ideals we all ought to strive to achieve:

“Just the general pro-human rights, pro-sexual freedom (except pedophiles), anti-racist, that’s it.”

Instead of promoting humanist values wokeism/far left promotes racism, sexual abuse and abuse of human rights.

How you ask? Oh easy peezy lemony squeezy. It posits immutable attributes of certain groups. Right? White bad. Jew very bad. Indigenous, Brown, Black good. If you listen to the 3 plus minute vid of the Black guy i linked you will get a nice snapshot of the absurdity of the far left in this lowlife mythology.

The deliberate cover for Islamic values results in incalculable suffering. Endless rape, slavery, control over lives so that freedom is only a chimera, murder and prohibition of LGBT.

Captain no mind is wise enough to understand that failing to confront the most despicable beliefs and norms and instead shame those who call out the evil are falsely labelled as racist/bigots will only discourage its examination and in turn enable the atrocities and blight on civilization.

It is also horribly racist in the sense that it has adopted Nazi, Soviet, and religious Jew hating propaganda that relies on blood libels and utter mythology. The hypocrisy is so thick it would make the rivers of belief laugh as they sweep the morons off of their feet. Zionism is the problem. I don’t hate jews…

The length of this article is part the reason why wellness disinformation prevails. You could watch 100 TikTok wellness videos in the time it takes to read this article.

People who seek to convey accurate science information need to do so concisely.

Simon, from the woke left and it’s anti-isreal Jew Hating campaign which has infiltrated universities with nonacademic studies in Jew hating propaganda, leaked into mainstream media and awakened the far right’s latent Jew hate here are today’s headlines in the Jerusalem Post. And keep in mind that the lives of Jews the world over are endangered and needlessly filled with anxiety. And this from the side that is supposed to fight this shit. Furthermore this debauched fixation on Jews and Israel creates freedom for all of the issues one would hope are safeguarded to go off the rails in blood.

Women and gays and countless victims in the Muslim world get no quarter or surcease from the onslaught of enabled horrors. And even when those victims are in the west they are at risk of being “thrown to the wolves” when they ask for help or are simply in the cultish enclaves of Islamic culture. The sick alliance between the hypocritical left and Islamic world is mind numbingly disgusting. Oh yea here are those headlines from today.

At least 15 dead, including Israeli, dozens wounded in Bondi Beach Hanukkah event massacre

Smoke bombs set off during protests near Amsterdam concert hall hosting Hannukah performances.

India issues high alert for potential terror attacks against Jews, Israelis over Hanukkah

Antisemitic conspiracy theories spread that Bondi Hanukkah massacre was false flag

‘F*** the Jews’: Gunman fires 20 bullets into Jewish family’s Hanukkah-decorated home in California

Attack on Welsh Jewry thwarted, two appear in court for allegedly targeting Jewish sites

US House launches probe into antisemitism allegations at American Psychological Association

Graffiti, violence, and death: Timeline of antisemitic attacks in Australia since start of Gaza war

That is some of the articles from just today in the section on Antisemitism. It is a direct consequence of the woke who spoke but knew not what they stoke. Yea they know.

Of course. All Hunter-Gatherers are equal, but some hunt and gather more than others. And you know, even though they were more advanced than previously thought, the only thing equal with Hunter-Gatherers was grunting and groaning if they built Gobeckli Tepe. There would be little place for the very young, the very old, or the sick and infirm in a Hunter-Gatherer world.

The Anarco-Primitivism supported by Eco-Wackos would more Social Darwinist than the most Dickensian days of the Industrial Revolution.
