Okay @danielw. I’m going to start a church. But WHITE PEOPLE ARE NOT ALLOWED.  Especially if they are half white. Because White people are descendants of Turkey which we eat on Thanksgiving therefore they are not a clean folk. Yes us Hispanics are better than them. We are decendants from Los Conquistadores no less! So we are ROYALTY. We will hire a white person to clean the toilets though, lol….

@Bellen, now I am confused.  Turkeys originated in MesoAmerica, and were honored in Aztec and Maya civilizations.  If white people are descended from turkeys, doesnt that make us Hispanic too?

One of my student jobs actually was custodial work in a church.  It wasn’t a bad job, and led to some adventures.  But I will pass at doing that in your church.

I don’t understand why it’s so hard for “white folk” to understand that. And realize they are not better than anyone. Honestly, it is something I cannot compute. Where do they get off trying to tell black people they don’t belong? It infuriates me in a way I can’t explain.

I once made a white religious racist start to hyperventilate and reach for his inhaler when I told him it was genetically proven that the Irish, the Ethiopians, the Chinese and Aboriginal people from Australia are all genetically the same.  The only differences are in the way we are educated about each other.

Yeah my therapist says I have anger issues and I need to “work on my trauma” and that she’s “very concerned about me”…I’m tired of other people thinking they actually know something when they don’t. @Bellen, my confusion grows.  Pigs are hybrids of European and Asian ancestors.  So that means, white people are mixed race too!

I’m nonviolent so I dont recommend beating people up.  I think exposing people to many different cultures, can help.  When I joined the Army a long time ago (Vietnam war era), I left an all white world, and was one of only a few white soldiers in my unit that was majority minority, black and hispanic.  There is nothing like sleeping, eating, working with people, up close and intimate, day in and day out, to erase barriers.  That isn’t an answer everywhere, but the Army did it for me.
@Reg, my National Geographic DNA test showed I’m about 3% Neanderthal and about 1% Denisovian.  People from Africa are 0% Neanderthal.  I think East Asians also have some different human species DNA contributions.  Does that say anything about being genetically the same?  Also, I took the ancestry.com DNA test.  It correctly identified my ethnicity mix, that was known from family history, and located distant relatives based on DNA.  Locating those relativers confirmed there is a factual basis for their DNA testing.  Finally, there was a mysterious 6% Jewish contribuition.  I searched the internet, and found people with my rather unusual surname, who were Jewish Holocaust victims, and others who have my surname who are Jewish but I have no known family connection.  So I suspect that the DNA test does provide information about ethnic origins.    Millions of people are in their database, and they are refining ethnicity determination from those results.

I’m not arguing with you, and I’m glad you caused respiratory distress in a racist.  But how does this information square with your assertion that we are all genetically the same.

One last thought, is phenotype is determined by genotype.  Obviously there must be racial genotypes, because some races look so different from one another – skin color, facial features, body form, likelihood for some diseases, resistance to others, effects of medications.  So are we really genetically alike?

I think we do have genetic differences, and there is some contribution of genome to some aspects of temperament and other factors.  However, the confounding factors are so complex, it is impossible to predict for an individual.   Maybe this warrants a separate discussion?  I don’t want to derail your excellent sunday school post.

@danielw I also took the DNA test. It would be a TRIP if we were cousins lol what is your user name on there? Yeah I think that lots of white people are descendant from neanderthals. We are also the ones who suffer more depression and mental illness. I was like 3% African

@danielw – I stand corrected. Instead of saying we “are all genetically the same”, I intended to say “we all genetically the same species”. It does not matter what race, tribe or skin color we happen to be. We are all related. We are all “Homo Sapiens”. I like to show Creationists my arm when discussing DNA and Evolution.

 

We are also more closely genetically related to chimpanzees than chimpanzees are related to gorillas.
