Punk soul brother. I read Rachel Carson, Silent Spring, when i was a kid. It was sort of THE ecology book. It may be dated now idk but one of the takeaways was how evolution is hastened and the impact of pesticides is to require stronger pesticides. Short life span. 1000 pests. 3 survive. Survivability passed on.

On a strong hunch that Israel is advanced in regards to agriculture i just searched Israel alternative to pesticide. This kind of shit just puts zalts in the Muslim wounded psyche knowing how much more advanced Israelis are. A few million Israelis v 100s of millions of Arab Muslims is really no contest.

All of those innovations from Israel are Sowell-ian trade-offs that are oh-so-well-played trade-UPs.

These innovations are continutions of The Green Revolution, which was a great step forward for humanity that saved over one billion lives in the 20th Century.

In justice, the Owl houses are where the Middle Agers got it right and today the Israelis show they are still ingenius. I’ve also read of bat houses to harbor bats to eat bugs. (No word about whether they came with a Bat-Signal skylight.) 🦇

If it does the job with minimal, manageble consequences, that is what we should go for. Pesticides were a trade-up from magic words, and bioengineering is becoming a trade-up from pesticides.

No, I’m not OK with beating women, or for making excuses for it.  Do people really do that?  Can you find evidence of a “lefty” defending abuse of women by Islam?  I’m not denying it happens, but I’ve never seen it in the flesh.

As for moral relativism: people are under the impression that there’s a single “correct answer” for what is right and wrong.  It doesn’t work like that.  Islam is a highly patriarchal religion, and consequently it often gives women a shit deal.  But, it’s morality, but not as we know it.  The moral domain of patriarchy is at odds with the moral domain of “collaborative foraging for mutual benefit”, i.e., compassion and fairness.  The moral domain of Islam promotes compassion and fairness, but these have to do battle, often unsuccessfully, with patriarchy, as is the case with (especially) right-wing Christianity.

Islam as to women is a great deal more than just beating women as a cultural/religious norm. It is gender mutilation. It is arranged marriages. It is tolerance of old men molesting/raping little girls. Marrying little girls. Denying education. Not giving opportunity to females beyond bearing children. Not treating mental illness that naturally follows the abusive lives imposed on females. Being victims of honor killings. Having to be accompanied by males when in public. Not having legal rights. Having to wear costumes advertising the cult and their submissive slavelike status. Being regulated in their lives in every conceivable way. etc. As i have indicated if a discreet cult of 700 were identical to Islam in Gaza the outside world would want to rescue the individual members and would see it as an evil enclave and a good thing to rescue its VICTIMS. But with lefties we see they embrace Islam and instead demonize jews and Israel.

It is funny you ask if i can find evidence of a lefty defending abuse of women by Islam. Just listened to another Yasmine Mohammed podcast titled Malaysian mother and Australian daughter share their experiences with Islam. Listen at 45 minutes left if you want verification. The mother was raped by a relative and had her clit cut off with a razor blade which is i guess 80 to 90 percent of girls in Islamic Malaysia. So the daughter pipes in that she was amazed at university that the first thing she was taught was that we should not judge Islam for these practices. The daughter goes on to describe it as a betrayal of human rights. Yasmine who is a heroic woman absolutely goes off on the lefty’s and their cultural relativism. And i have heard over and over that lefty’s will not permit apostate females who are warning the west to speak out against Islamic norms. It is fucking pathetic how their religiosity in their ideology is paramount to their concern for human rights. Despicable is appropriate word. And the concept of islamophobia is an adoption by Islamists that is utilized hook line and sinker by lefty’s to discourage criticism of all the horrific shit that is done to females by Islamic cultures. Without criticism how the F is it going to change?

Concomitantly lefty’s can not fucking wait to demonize Jews and Israel. They have JUDGED the living bejesus out of them. Only place in the world where the very right to a sovereign state in an ancestral land is invalidated. And this is done knowing other nations were created in a similar vein in same period. Literally 10s of millions displaced in this era. More Jews displaced and persecuted than Palestians. Palestinians and Arabs attacking and continuing to attack for decades in a so called resistance that lefty’s endorse and are often rapturous in their support. Do you have this video?  Of course, I deplore making excuses for the medieval abuse of women.  I would be interested in the rationale of people who do this.  Is it in the name of anti-racism?  Or what?  I’d love to know.  I’m no more left wing than I am right wing.  I think all sides are right in some ways, and wrong in others, which is why we need a balance in power.  However, I class myself as “progressive”.  I don’t like racism, sexism, injustice.

I despise those things. Racism, sexism, injustice. Yet I would never want any association between myself and progressivism. Progressivism is a font of racism, sexism and injustice. It is awesome you are not an ideologue. Unfortunately the current sweeps up a great many of us and the ideology takes precedence over human rights. And that is progressivism.

I suppose the majority who feel so ardently the narratives aka lies of the far left have a sense that they are doing the right thing. They feel for the oppressed and despise the oppressors. Hopefully most of them are simply misguided and it is their deficiency in critical thinking that betrays them and ends up supporting racism, sexism and injustice. If we simply wanted to protect the vulnerable, and support human rights independent of political and ideological concerns we might get something done. But why ruin a good story?

As it is antisemitism has been augmented tremendously by progressives. Call it what it is. Racism. There is the racism of low expectations for non europeans…Arabs and Africans etc. There is the perpetuation of the meat grinder in supporting Palestinianism so that more and more kids are born into a horiffic cult in which their lives are not valued and their deaths in the cause of the so called resistance glorified. Palestinians along with the greater Arab world already had intense racism against Jews through their religion and culture. But the addition and adoption of Nazi, Soviet and modern day lies from progressives add to the endless conflicts and cause untold suffering and deaths. The hyperfocus on Israel/Palestine causes human rights abuses to be unnoticed in other parts of the world as the morality play substitutes for actual concern for humans all over the world.
