    Have a great week everyone!!

God is by definition the holder of all possible knowledge, it would be impossible for him to have faith in anything. Faith, then, is built upon ignorance and hope.

How the Christian Right is hijacking America.

Y’all please read that insightful article before watching the video below about Oklahoma’s state school superintendent doing his thing to mandate Trump’s Bible in OK classrooms… and which Trump could monetarily profit from. (Reg posted an article that also mentioned this Bible in last week’s Sunday School.)

    Tumble tumble
    little world
How we wondered where you were
And now the world tumbles too
    And do you wonder?
    Well do ya?

I was pensive and perplexed feeling as though nation had been hexed…why is Trump the chalk? It is mysterious crypto calk.

An interesting opinion piece on the election.

I recently discovered this analyst and have come to trust him because he’s so analytical. Many of the other ones simply trust the polls blindly. He looks behind the curtain. Over the last few of his analyses, he seems fairly confident Kamala will win.

Even if he loses the election, Trump and his crew plan to make sure a change of power doesn’t happen.

The Very Real Scenario Where Trump Loses and Takes Power Anyway

    From the article:

“No one knows exactly what Trump’s attack on the electoral system will be in 2024,” said Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), a member of the Jan. 6 select committee. “What will he do this time?”

The answer, according to lawmakers, congressional investigators, party operatives, election officials and constitutional law experts, goes something like this:

    — He will deepen distrust in the election results by making unsupported or hyperbolic claims of widespread voter fraud and mounting longshot lawsuits challenging enough ballots to flip the outcome in key states.

    — He will lean on friendly county and state officials to resist certifying election results — a futile errand that would nevertheless fuel a campaign to put pressure on elected Republican legislators in statehouses and Congress.

    — He will call on allies in GOP-controlled swing-state legislatures to appoint “alternate” presidential electors.

    — He will rely on congressional Republicans to endorse these alternate electors — or at least reject Democratic electors — when they convene to certify the outcome.

    — He will try to ensure Harris is denied 270 votes in the Electoral College, sending the election to the House, where Republicans are likely to have the numbers to choose Trump as the next president.

    Reg, have you seen it?

    If so recommend it?

    #54994

No, it’s not on general release yet. I burst out laughing when I saw the trailer.  I am the only person I know who actively invites god peddlers into my house. Mormons, Jehovah Witless groups, Born Again types etc.  After a few hours they start looking at each other and try to come up with an excuse to exit stage left.

Can I get you anything else guys? More tea or water? What! you are leaving already? Oh that’s disappointing. Maybe we just do a quick recap and then you call back next week?

I think Hugh Grant is very good at playing Hugh Grant but I think here he is getting good reviews for not being Hugh Grant. I am looking forward to hearing the outrage that the Christians will claim to be suffering from and how every time they watch it they get more offended by it.

It is playing in theaters in Massachusetts. Might give it a look.

Growing up i witnessed my dad do that same invitation and dismantling of door knocking peddlers of religion. It is good entertainment. Peripatetic salespeople never know what might be on the other side of that door.

but this a dark comic gem of anti-faith-based horror with a central performance by Hugh Grant that deserves some worship….

Putting that film on my bucket list. Since we have a winding 250 ft drive through the woods along with several large hideous grotesques/gargoyle statues watching you (as well as the motion detecting cameras)….we just don’t get door knockers. Hell, I have had a hard time getting stupidstitious workmen to come on down.
