I loved this book too! Normally I don’t like alternating first-person perspectives, but I thought it was done really well in this case. And as you said, such beautiful writing.

As I grew up I remember my father reading PGW with regular loud outbursts of laughter and seeing a long line of “orange” Penguin books by him on one of the bookshelves.

Having read all (and I do mean all) of the Jeeves and Wooster books he wrote, I was ecstatic when Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie played Jeeves and Wooster respectively in an adaptation series from the books. Indeed. The Code of the Woosters was brilliant.

Based on what little I know, I’d read it first… then take the other one with a grain of salt, it’s not necessarily the same set of characters.

Wait though.

And I admit upfront I’ve not read either book, but I don’t think you should find it devastating that stuff an author never intended to publish, that was written before the “canonical” work (TKAM) contradicts the work.
