@Enco – You might want to do your own spell-checking instead of farming it out. It would be a better loving example to people you want to teach Critical Thinking.
I did. Liar and lair are both considered correct by any spell checker. It was a typo on my behalf and it was in the Sunday School post. But thanks for the rather snide comment.
February 24, 2025 at 7:03 pm #56433Reg,
Not meant as snide at all. This just highlights greater the need for Critical Thinking, not to mention the folly of leaning on computers, whether AI or pre-AI, to consider the larger context in which the writer is using words. They’ve got a long learning curve to go.
Myself, I never use spell-check. My errors are mine, either to correct, which I usually catch them, or let stand as is for all to see.

February 24, 2025 at 7:18 pm #56435RE: RFK Jr. cancels vaccine advisory meeting and pulls flu shot campaign.
The results of putting that moron, ass clown in-charge of public health policy are very predictable. Nastiness such as polio, measles, diphtheria and smallpox are just a plane ticket away.
We are going have to relearn this the hard way.
February 24, 2025 at 9:04 pm #56436@Enco, no problem, thanks. I devised a simple routine to see if I could catch Chatgpt out. I think I have made A.I. look a bit dumb. I will post later…..

It should also be pointed that the Jewish zionist microbiologist Kligler led a campain in mandatory Palestine to eradicate malaria. The land that was purchased by Jews and Jewish organizations was mostly swampy garbage land that could not be farmed and caused a great many deaths from malaria. It was same in the early 18th century in the construction of St. Petersburg which was in swampland. Lots died of malaria there and probably Jews were blamed. But i aint lookin it up.
Well there is that Jewish ingenuity and innovation once again in nearly eradicating malaria in short order and making arable land that had been unusable. One of the techniques involved stocking of fish that eat mosquito larva. Saved lots of Jews and Arabs.
But i don’t care about facts or the relative transgressions of others, how much more lacking in justification the establishment of other nations. As long as i can calumniate the mfing zionists i feel a little better about myself.
February 25, 2025 at 7:23 am #56447Women’s bodies are moralized more than men’s, study finds.
This finding is exactly consistent with patriarchy behaving as a moral domain whose overarching method is to dominate and control women and their sexuality. Women are subject to all kinds of rules that men are not. The more they try to assert self-determination, the more they are slapped down by patriarchy.

Not to take away from the historic shit deal women get, which is horrible, but the rules of the “patriarchy” don’t redound to the benefit of most men.
All of the hardest, unhealthiest, most dangerous professions–construction, mining, metalwork, electrical, utilities, roads, sewers, space travel, military, law enforcement, firefighting, paramedics, rescue–are overwhelmingly men. Men are the overwelming majority of workplace accidents and death.
Men are the majority both in violence and in violence victimhood, men are the majority suicide sex, and men in the end have the shorter lifespan.
Lots of reverse serendipity to go around on this flying mudball in space.

You’re right, those things are true. There’s a sore deal for men there. However, they’re there for reasons of practical necessity – someone’s got to do those jobs, and women are not excluded from them.
Also, in the model of patriarchy represented as dominating and controlling a group of females, the male has a protective function as well, he’s there to look after their well being, as much for his own reproductive success as anything. He will also defend them from other males.
The reasons why women are repressed by society and individuals, are unnecessary and selfish. That’s the difference.
February 25, 2025 at 9:51 pm #56460If you want patriarchy on steroids be a lefty. And never critique the obvious and outstanding champion of anti-humanist values. If you do you are a filthy racist!
One quarter of the population in a sexist, misogynistic, gender apartheid (to borrow a term) gender devaluation, gender mutilating, gender equality pretender upender. Feel good about girls not allowed to be educated. Feel good about old men raping little girls. Feel good about aranged marriages. Feel good about girls/women who are trying to escape the cult as apostates and may be murdered by their captors. Feel good about the cult rapists grooming girls to be raped. Feel good about the pedophilia that is legend in that cult. Feel good about no or limited rights for females. Feel good about the guidance the cult gives on how a man should beat his wife. Feel good about the honor killings in which the reputation of a family is more important than the life of the girl. After all the two cultists can fuck again and create another worthless life. Feel good about sartorial requirements that devalue a woman’s life and advertise that she has no freedom and is the property of her family and her cult. Feel good about entering and exiting the mosque near the dumpster. Feel good about having every aspect of the female’s life being regulated. Even her imagination and capability of dreaming is circumscribed by the limiting of knowledge and experience. Feel good about not even allowing the females the solace a dog gives.
Yeah it is all good.
February 25, 2025 at 11:46 pm #56463Does any of this remind you of Murica right now?

True, though de facto few women do these jobs. Automating and robotizing these jobs could help, though production of the tech and it’s accompanying risks would probably be borne mostly by males.
Also, in the model of patriarchy represented as dominating and controlling a group of females, the male has a protective function as well, he’s there to look after their well being, as much for his own reproductive success as anything. He will also defend them from other males.
I wonder how long this model will hold since human populations worldwide are going down in numbers? It’ll be interesting to see coming decades if current fecundity continues.
The reasons why women are repressed by society and individuals, are unnecessary and selfish. That’s the difference.
Well, all of it is unnecessary for both sexes if we can find better ways of relating as well as doing and providing needful things. We humans will need to keep in mind the old ddage that “necessity is the mother of invention” and the words of William Pitt the younger “Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.”

February 26, 2025 at 1:26 am #56468Jake,
It is telling that the pussy-hat wearers in America are nowhere to be found in solidarity with the women who stand against the death cult of Islam, women like Betty Mahmoody, Wafa Sultan, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Yasmeen Muhammad, or any of the brave women throwing their burquas onto bonfires in Iran. In the West, Sisterhood is not so beautiful.
February 26, 2025 at 1:37 am #56469Jake,
Never thought that The Jeruselem Post would play the internet forum game of “You Know Who Else?”
While there are some similarities, if it’s any solace, the paper-hanging son-of-a-bitch never made even a ham-handed attempt to reduce the size or budget of governemnt in his entire career.
