Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorThis weeks’ post will be ready in about 3 hours as I just converted to Christianity. I was given an argument by another Christian that persuaded me beyond doubt that Jesus rose from the dead. I don’t know how I missed it before. Apparently the reason Easter Eggs are hollow is to celebrate the FACT that the tomb was hollow when the followers of Jesus got there. So take that atheists!!
OK, I found it all unbelievable and have become an atheist again. I must have had a sugar rush from all that chocolate! Nah, there are many reasons I don’t believe in any god and here are a few of them. Oh yeah and these kind of stupid arguments which are painful especially when suffering from a sugar crash.
I have posted many links on the sexual abuse of children by Catholics, Evangelicals, various Protestant sects and Jehovah Witnesses over the last few years so in order not to seem biased I think it only fair that I include the Mormons too. A Baptist pastor believes he has a solution to the problem without realizing it is actually a major cause of the problem.
If you want to know what is meant by the term “god delusion” then just look upon the faces of the men in the video still in the middle of the article. It is unsettling to say the least.
Jesus will be up and about in a few hours’ time. Will his wife be waiting from him? We should ask The Cuddly One if Jesus descended into Hell for the weekend.
Critics of religion are most likely to be “de-platformed” on campus. Don’t dismiss such ideas as mere propaganda. We have a problem with intolerance that endangers academic freedom.
How the Islamophobia industry silences voices of dissent.
This weeks’ Woo: It’s easy to sell snake oil.
Climate Change: Are we facing another Mass Extinction event? What does Scott Pruitt have to say about it?
A fresh look at the story of our human evolution. If the Rift Valley in Africa were to split in two we could lose much of the fossil evidence there. We may be more closely related to each other than we think we are, thanks to previous generations of social inequality.
A Chinese space station will fall back to Earth this weekend.
The psychology of Fake News. What’s the problem if nobody believes it anyway?
Can an old dog ever learn new tricks?
Some photographs taken last week.
We pause to remember….Linda Brown.
This week I am reading this book.
While you are waiting for the kettle to boil…..
Coffee Break Video: Dan Barker ripping God believers apart. Sean Carroll on the Layers of Reality.

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorHave a great week everyone!!
“What I’m saying is, if God wanted to send us a message, and ancient writings were the only way he could think of doing it, he could have done a better job.”

ParticipantReg I don’t know how you do it week after week. You must have the mental fortitude of a Rottweiler!
Can I add this article about blatant political interference in an election by the catholic church – blatant interference

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorThanks David…I have done so every Sunday for the last 5 years (including Think Atheist). An atheist friend of mine recently said that if I was a Christian apologist that I would have been able to convince her that God was real as I am constantly “on” when it comes to such matters….ha ha!
Thanks for the Aussie article. All relevant articles gladly accepted. Shorten is a disgrace. In Florida they are going all out to put “In God We Trust” on all public school buildings. Atheists in Florida want to help them 🙂

Old AccountParticipant@RegTheFronkeyFarmer, I’m glad you are back from the dead, and it didn’t even take 3 days.

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorThanks Daniel, that’s because I follow the Santa Clarita Diet so you get to come back sooner.

Old AccountParticipant@RegTheFronkeyFarmer, that’s even weirder than Dexter! And I watched every episode of that. Although, I guess it’s not weirder than eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Jesus every Sunday.

Old AccountParticipantOn the subject of “What I’m reading this week”, I’m reading this one, thanks to someone here on Atheist Zone (I wonder who that is?). Somewhere among Kafka, Orwell, and Kozinski. A N. Korean existentialist horror story. Oh, wow.

Reg the Fronkey FarmerModeratorYes, it is a great book. Although a brutal way of life is depicted in a rather banal way yet the humor is beautifully interwoven into it. I read it over 2 days last Thanksgiving in Atlanta.
