jakelafortParticipantEnco,
I have heard/read Egypt has a duty under international law and other irrelevant requirements to allow egress to the Gazan noncombatants. A link follows that explains in part but the duty is imposed on other bases as well. And that is without even considering the morality of the situation. Egypt was fighting Hamas secretly in concert with Israel before the oct 7 attack. But once it occurred Egypt had to give the people what they wanted. Kick the dog upside down. There is an interesting woman who is a Muslim journalist in Egypt who has integrity and when she learned the truth about the October 7 attack she tried to tell Egyptians. Her life was threatened and she left Egypt. Truth serves nobody least of all governments.
Think how much quicker this could have ended and lives saved on both sides if Egypt was a mensch so to speak. There is a great deal of open land and within idk 3 months the Gazans who are not Hamas could have entered Egypt and gotten all of the humanitarian aid they could ever want unmolested by Hamas. Having done so Israel could absolutely unleash the dogs without all of the preocupation and circumspection entailed in current and ongoing operations.
Ya hear anything from the international community, from lefties calling out Egypt? For that matter the open air prison is as much or more responsibility of Egypt than Israel. There is a collective orgasm the world over when Jews can be condemned. I knew it a long time ago. I knew way back the whole lefty schtick with their apartheid, colonial settler occupation zionist project blah blah blah was as disingenous as Tammy Faye. It has zero to do with the welfare of Palestinians and everything the excuse to hate Jews. And while i could run with this like i was still 16 on the cross country team i think i will let it be.

jakelafortParticipantQatar and the Muslim Brotherhood winning the war of ideas or perhaps i should say beliefs. The mindless and brain dead lefties are indeed useful idiots. Human rights be damned. Prayer rugs are gonna be in great demand.

TheEncogitationerParticipantJake,
I couldn’t help but notice on her X feed that Ana Horford refers to the nation as “Isr*el” as if it is a damn cuss word to get it past some censor or as if it is a hurtful trigger word that will send people crawling into “safe spaces.”
She also proudly showcases her ignorance on other subjects like Billionaires and the Drug War. As the kids say nowadays: SMDH.

TheEncogitationerParticipantPopeBeanie,
The Professor speaking Gen-Z slang was fantastic. However he stands on the shoulder of a giant from the not too distant past.
The late Royal Marshall, Associate Producer for retired talk show host Neil Boortz, did a flawless Queen’s English translation of Atlanta street talk at least 18 years ago:

jakelafortParticipantEnco,
There is such vitriol from the lefties, so convicted in their beliefs that to even question the truth of their beliefs is to commit blasphemy/heresy. Genocide, genocide, genocide and their extended arsenal of weaponized lefty-speak and a mythology supported by impressive sounding nomenclature is primarily an inversion and a respresentation of how Jews have been persecuted. It is really rich to call Israelis nazis.
The widespread guilt of the collective Jew to my knowledge has only been called out by Van Jones. This despite endless rationalizations that the antipathy for zionism is only against the Israeli government. Lefties have fucked things up so badly that it truly strains credulity.
In the past decade there must be roughly 2 million in middle east and Africa who have died in wars and genocides. Hamas claims 60k deaths and we know that is BS. Apartheid, real shit, is in every Islamic nation. Yet their hearts only bleed for Palestinians and then only in this one region. You think 1 in a hundred lefties could describe the humanitarian crises and history in Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan etc.? Israel/Gaza is a pimple on a cow’s ass by comparison.
BTW there are two Israeli rookies coming into the NBA this year. No doubt they will catch shit for being Jews. Sporting events all over the world the Israelis are dealing with teams that wont play them or greeted by protests….

omg omg lol lolrotfl [sic?]
That is hilarious! (I actually did laugh out loud, but didn’t rotfl.)
Almost halfway through, I switched to the youtube original and turned on captions, which helped a little, but not enough. That was good, especially when I got to the Queen’s English translation.
Y’all, if you missed it, just click on the link in the above quote from Enco.

TheEncogitationerParticipantPopeBeanie,
Although I don’t agree with Neal Boortz (or anyone else) 100 percent, his program was Talk Radio Gold!
Here he is off the air not taking any bait from Alex Jones
And here Neal Boortz is taking on a practitioner of The Religion of Peace and Compassion! Though Neal is an eclectic sort of Christian who had a friendly interview with Donald Neal Walsh, author of Conversations with God, Neal says much here that an Atheist can cheer. Jake also has a great predecessor:
Too bad he’s retired or he would regale us with more.

PopeBeanieModeratorThanks, I appreciate those examples of radio history. Even that recently, I was in a stage of ignoring most radio shows. Even as an atheist back then, I didn’t like Dawkins or Hitchens because I thought they were too strident or disrespectful. It took a while for me to mature enough to appreciate them. I was more in awe of Dennett at the time.
I felt and feel that around 911, we had already experienced the beginning of “hate radio” being successful. I knew that Bush times “Never Forget” and American flags flying on so many car antennae and truck beds while we invaded Iraq was a bad omen, except for my trust in Powell saying Iraq was a threat… I didn’t know who else to trust as being a dependable source of information.
I’d like to see an objective documentary of that era, someday, although to be objective, I wouldn’t apply the phrase “hate radio”. And yeah, for years, America was living in a “Never Forget” fantasy, while we were killing, and destroying a country that was not supporting terrorism to the extent (say) of how Iran is, today. Sure Hussein was horrible, but then so were we horrible to Iraq’s people.
Side note, I loved listening to one talk show on KGO radio (San Francisco) during lunch time. The host was also a TV news anchor. He knew me well enough as a listener to send him comments and questions for guests. One day Hitchens was on, and I asked something along the lines of “Please ask Hitchens if he finds it useful for two-way communications when being so strident.”. Hitchens just chuckled and said something like “Ahh, the kinds of questions I get from Christians!”. Crap, I felt defeated, even as a dedicated atheist.

PopeBeanieModeratorTranslated: “Speedrunning democracy%” = self-sabotage for clout. “Jesus co-signed the tax fraud” = mixing religion with political delusion. “Bible thumping with zero patch notes” = outdated beliefs, no updates. “NPC behavior” = mindless repetition of slogans. “Revelations didn’t cover indictments” = karma’s not in your sermon, but it’s still coming.
I haven’t responded yet because I need more time to understand this and consider it in my usual frame of “larger perspective”. (I did ask my years old google display/speaker what “GYAT” means, and it actually looked it up and answered.)
