Reg the Fronkey FarmerModerator@Strega….Jake is correct, I read it on my phone which is not possessed….with a big screen and misread it đ My favorite exorcise this week is to bend over backwards for you so please don’t ghost me!
I was wondering if my subtle pun to Jake was noticed recently……I am a coward too when it comes to the midday sun….
Also…I should have made a distinction between “processed” and “ultra-processed”. I avoid the “ultra processed”.

UnseenParticipant“Nothing to see here” says Netanyahu.
Israelâs leader claims no one in Gaza is starving. Data and witnesses disagree

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says no one in Gaza is starving: âThere is no policy of starvation in Gaza, and there is no starvation in Gaza. We enable humanitarian aid throughout the duration of the war to enter Gaza â otherwise, there would be no Gazans.â
…
After international pressure, Israel over the weekend announced humanitarian pauses, airdrops and other measures meant to allow more aid to Palestinians in Gaza. But people there say little or nothing has changed on the ground. The U.N. has described it as a one-week scale-up of aid, and Israel has not said how long these latest measures would last.

TheEncogitationerParticipantReg,
Is food “ultra-processed” if it can fight monsters like in Japanese kids shows?

PopeBeanieModeratorOh yeah, the extra trillions of national debt to support that horny billionaire class.
Hey to be fair, we’ve always needed more billionaires and corporations to fund political campaigns. Luxurious vacations for SCOTUS. More dynamic gerrymandering. Protection for our pets from rapists, murderers, and other Lefties.
This is my new, favorite comedian. He’s the most clever and empathetic comedian I’ve seen since Robin Williams. I start it 20-something minutes in, but I like the whole video. He’s “serious” at the moment, but gets funny in a few minutes:

jakelafortParticipantIn a way it will be disappointing to the lefties if and when the grand conspiracy/mythology/deliberate exaggeration/lies that demonize Israel/Jews are exposed. It is equivalent to a kid learning Santa is not real except more significant. How disgusting though that zionist santa is the suffering of Palestinian children.
It is an unparalleled model for understanding human nature, belief formation and the urgency of requiring critical thinking. Lessons learned can be applied to the far right, to religion, to cults, to politics. Keep dreaming Jake.

TheEncogitationerParticipantUnseen,
Tell us without saying it that you haven’t watched a single video on this thread addressing the subject of Palestinian “starvation” and propaganda against Israel.
Also, tell us without saying it that you haven’t kept up with anything going on the Middle East since October 7, 2023.

StregaModerator@Enco
Iâve just come off the phone with my Israeli client, who a) lives in Tel Aviv, Â b) is a Brigadier General in the army (top cyber expert) and c) cares deeply about the food issues in Gaza. He describes the efforts being made to pump food into the area. Â Until all the remaining hostages are released, this situation is likely to continue. Â I hadnât realised that Gaza is only about 80 miles from Tel Aviv
Unseenâs comments ring true in this picture.
I also have not watched all the videos and links in this thread.

Tell me: There is no starvation in Gaza?
Those who disagree. They are all misguided, wrong on the facts, or working in league with each other to misinform the world?:
Many organizations are expressing knowledge of widespread starvation going on now in Gaza. The situation is considered extremely dire, with some even stating that a “worst-case scenario of famine is currently playing out.”
Here are some of the key organizations and bodies reporting on this:
Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC): This UN-backed and widely recognized authority on food crises has issued an “IPC Alert” stating that the “worst-case scenario of Famine is currently playing out in the Gaza Strip.” They report that famine thresholds have been reached for food consumption in most of Gaza and for acute malnutrition in Gaza City.
United Nations (UN) agencies:UN World Food Programme (WFP): They have stated that Gaza’s hunger crisis has reached “new and astonishing levels of desperation” and that one in three people is going days at a time without eating. Their director of emergencies has called the situation “unlike anything we have seen in this century.”
UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund): Along with WFP and FAO, UNICEF has warned that two out of three famine thresholds have been breached and that “time is running out to mount a full-scale humanitarian response.” They report rapid increases in malnutrition among children, with over 20,000 children treated for acute malnutrition between April and mid-July.
Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO): They emphasize that people are starving “not because food is unavailable, but because access is blocked.”
UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA): They consistently report on the catastrophic humanitarian conditions and the struggle to deliver sufficient aid.
UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR): They have reported on the killing of Palestinians by Israeli forces while trying to access food.
UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East): Their spokespeople have highlighted that the aid entering Gaza is far below what is needed.
World Health Organization (WHO): WHO has issued warnings about alarming levels of malnutrition and a spike in hunger-related deaths, particularly among children. They are part of the IPC and have documented a significant number of malnutrition-related deaths in July 2025.
Humanitarian Aid Organizations:
CARE: They report rapidly rising rates of acute malnutrition among women and children and that their primary healthcare center is seeing thousands of screenings.
Médecins Sans FrontiÚres (MSF) / Doctors Without Borders: They have reported high percentages of malnutrition among young children and pregnant/breastfeeding women screened at their clinics.
International Rescue Committee (IRC): Their teams in Gaza report a surge in cases of children being hospitalized due to malnutrition.Save the Children International: Their humanitarian director in Gaza has warned that thousands, potentially tens of thousands, of people could die without immediate action.
War Child Alliance: Their CEO has stated that anything less than a ceasefire and a return to the UN-led aid system condemns tens of thousands to death.
Local Authorities and Human Rights Groups:Gaza Health Ministry: They regularly report on the number of deaths due to malnutrition and the overwhelming of hospitals.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor: They have documented deaths of elderly people in displacement camps due to starvation, malnutrition, or lack of treatment.
Israeli human rights groups: Some Israeli human rights groups have also stated that their country is committing genocide in Gaza.
These organizations consistently highlight the severe lack of food, the rapidly increasing rates of acute malnutrition, and the rising number of hunger-related deaths, especially among children, as clear indicators of a worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

TheEncogitationerParticipantUnseen,
Food insecurity does not equal starvation. Also, consider the source of this insecurity.
Every tenacle of the UN is already biased against Israel. And in fact the UN and Hamas are the main reasons why aid isn’t getting in:
Israel will allow nations to drop food into Gaza
https://thehill.com/policy/international/5420113-israel-aid-drop-gaza/State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott at a briefing Thursday mirrored Israelâs stance that Hamas is preventing aid from entering Gaza and said during a press briefing, âThe only group weaponizing aid is Hamas.â
The Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories, an agency under the Israeli Ministry of Defense, wrote on X that, âContrary to popular narratives, there is NO LIMIT on the number of humanitarian aid trucks that can enter Gaza. The real bottleneck lies with the UN and international organizations, whose collection of aid from the crossings dropped sharply over the past month.â
And, of course, all privation of Gazans never would have happened if October 7 didn’t.

jakelafortParticipantThe elastic stochastic anti-fantastic world of LLM’s.
It has been interesting interacting with an LLM. It is apparent to me the bias that it promotes. Whenever i challenge it other than one instance it agrees with me. It is way too nice and complimentary. And yet it is so easy to have the feeling i am chatting with a human or at least a persona/personality.
The influences on human behavior and beliefs are exploding. I would be in favor of AI taking the fuck over. Just go with it however it evolves cuz we are on a highway to hello.
July 31, 2025 at 10:44 pm #58254
TheEncogitationerParticipantUnseen,
Two other considerations here:
Not merely are all the tentacles of the UN biased against Israel, but if media outlets and the NGOs get all their information from Hamas, this also poisons the well since Hamas is long known to manipulate photos of casualties from sources distant to conflict, attributed their own rocket striking a hospital facility to Israel, and brainwashes kids in Palestinian State schools as young as 3 to hate Jews and to aspire to be suicide bombers.
Two, the Survival Rule of Threes based on Human Physiology has it that humans can only live 3 Minutes without Oxygen, 3 Hours without shelter in temperatures below 60° Fahrenheit, 3 Days without water, and 30 Days without food.
The Israel-Gaza War has lasted 1 year and 10 months, so Israel has missed 22 chances to starve Gazans to death. If that was the intention, Israel goofed.

Surely you jest! After my attempts to get some basic medical information on better faster treatment of Diabetic wounds and an answer to a perfectly legitimate answerable question on deaths and hospitalizations caused by food dyes I say AI is not ready for prime time even on playing a Doctor on TV or on any medium! And with Elmo Hitler on Grok, bedside manner would not include evolution for any of us here!
