    Unseen,

I wonder when/if there will be a standard charging connector across all brands. I don’t see ecars really taking off until there are plenty of charging locations and you can charge your car wherever you find one and not just a location or station that services just one brand of car.

Or, if the industry put their heads together and instituted a standard would that be regarded as pernicious corporate collusion?

Maybe it will take the government stepping in and requiring the industry to standardize.

Old Uncle Joe was moving kinda slow at the Junction:

Biden’s $75 Billion “Investment” in EV Chargin has Only Produced 7 Stations in 2 Years

And Politifact’s “correction” was a distinction with little difference:

The Federal Highway Administration said 37 electric vehicle charging stations have been completed with funds from the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

This claim likely comes from a March Washington Post article about the electric vehicle charging program’s slow rollout. But 30 more stations have been completed since the Post’s article.

33 chargers in 2 years. And it doesn’s look like Trump is doing anything much different:

Meanwhile, I need to take a mere moment to get some gas. Maybe if we “Drill, Baby, Drill!” one day, it’ll be $1 Dollar a gallon again and not one cent to Mohammad Bin Salman.

    Fellow Unbelievers,

RFK Jr., the new Secretary of the HSS, has proposed allowing bird flu to spread naturally through poultry flocks. He suggests that by doing so, farmers could identify and breed birds that exhibit natural immunity to the virus, potentially reducing the need for mass culling.  He even said that vaccinating birds would turn the farms into “mutation factories”. He suggests that they should be isolated, not culled, and then left to breed.

This highly pathogenic avian flu is extremely lethal, often killing 90 to 100 percent of infected chickens within three to four days. Such a rapid mortality rate means that most birds do not survive long enough to develop immunity, making the concept of breeding naturally resistant birds impractical. I think it is possible that chickens do not even have the genes required to gain this ‘natural immunity’. Culling is necessary and allowing the virus to spread unchecked could increase the risk of it mutating and potentially adapt and jump to human hosts.

As of March 19, 2025, the United States has reported 70 confirmed human cases of avian influenza A(H5N1) virus infection since April 2024. These cases include 41 individuals exposed to sick dairy cows and 26 associated with infected poultry; the source of exposure for the remaining three cases is undetermined. Tragically, one of these cases resulted in death—the first H5N1-related fatality in the U.S.

Globally, the World Health Organization has documented 971 confirmed human cases of H5N1 infection between 2003 and January 2025, with 467 fatalities, indicating a case fatality rate of approximately 48%.

The White House Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy (OPPR) had a staff of approximately 20 people and was established by Congress in 2022 after Covid. In the last few days OPPR’s pages have been removed from the White House website and only one member of staff remains.  Allowing the virus to spread unchecked is not a safe or effective strategy.

In law school there was a constitutional law class. One of the cases if memory serves was Schecter poultry, the so called sick chickens case. Has to do with interstate commerce clause. Boring shit.

Hey (bangs on window of restaurant) do you like chickens? Nods head reluctantly, “well i got her number how do you like them chickens?”

Since i changed to veg i don’t eat chickens. Once i ordered pad thai and unknowingly got chicken in the dish. Well i figured chicken is dead at this point so i will eat it. Did not taste good to me know how.

I will tell ya what else i don’t like. The UN. Just tell lies and they will believe ya. No natural immunity to Goebels know how. No acquired immunity. So this article is balls on.

    Reg,

All anyone has to say about RFK JR is that he is a trial lawyer and not a Scientist or a Doctor, nor does he play either on TV.

Keep pointing this out and the national nightmare might not be so long.

    Jake,

The UN probably got it’s propaganda from ever so gently tweaking Goebbels and Czarist and Mideaval Christian and Islamic lore about Jews. They’re mighty eclectic and ecumenical in their Antisemitism.

The reality became clear: Ice detention isn’t just a bureaucratic nightmare. It’s a business. These facilities are privately owned and run for profit.

    Good story Reg.

“Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed. Results like these do not belong on the résumé of a Supreme Being. This is the kind of shit you’d expect from an office temp with a bad attitude. And just between you and me, in any decently-run universe, this guy would’ve been out on his all-powerful ass a long time ago. And by the way, I say “this guy”, because I firmly believe, looking at these results, that if there is a God, it has to be a man.
No woman could or would ever fuck things up like this. So, if there is a God, I think most reasonable people might agree that he’s at least incompetent, and maybe, just maybe, doesn’t give a shit. Doesn’t give a shit, which I admire in a person, and which would explain a lot of these bad results.”

    Enco,

I’d say Christians and Muslims got their hatred right out of the good book. It is a cook book. How do you like Jew? Fried? Over easy?

Passages in the Quran and perhaps hadiths are not kindly disposed to the Zionists. Actually i do not know of passages in new testament that are Jew specific hatred inciting. Just that the vulgate talking puppet told his flock that the Jews killed Christ and did so over and over. Plus the zionists denied the divinity of the hero of the Christians even though he was a Jew. The imam does the same shit talking shit about Jews and shit. The zionists fought to recreate their ancient homeland and never be subject to the persecution of the hosts. Fewer than one percent of the Jews back in 48 were orthodox or haredi. That changed a lot though because holy people fuck like rabbits. That is why the population of the orthodox Jews and Muslim Israelis is growing way faster than population at large. It is so important to outnumber the others if you are a fundamentalist anything that women have to be bred like cows. But they are just women, so who cares? Damn sure not the progressive lefties who make criticism of Islam a thing done by bigots and racists. Jew know what i mean?

There have been instances where Russian individuals fleeing their country’s penal system or political repression have sought asylum in the United States, only to face detention by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). One notable case is that of Alexei Demin, a 62-year-old former naval officer from Moscow. Demin was an active participant in anti-Putin protests and openly criticized the Russian regime. Fearing imprisonment amid the intensified crackdown on dissent following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Demin and his wife fled to the U.S. to seek political asylum. Upon their arrival in the summer of 2024, they were detained, separated, and sent to different detention centers in separate states, remaining apart since then.

Galina Kaplunova, a 26-year-old illustrator and anti-Putin activist from St. Petersburg. Facing threats from her Kremlin-supporting husband and fearing for her safety due to her political activism, Kaplunova fled Russia with her four-year-old son and mother. At the U.S. border, ICE agents separated her from her son, placing him in foster care while she and her mother were detained in different states. After approximately two months, Kaplunova was released and reunited with her son, but her mother remained detained.

    Jake,

Actually i do not know of passages in new testament that are Jew specific hatred inciting.

There is most notably Mathew’s passage:

His [Jesus’s] blood be on us and on our children!

    — Matthew 27:25

Others passages are anti-Judaic religion and were predecessors for racial Antisemitism and anti-Zionist Antisemitism.

And, of course, you can’t forget that Revelation condemns everyone who doesn’t accept Jesus as the Savior by sending them to the Lake of Fire to fry.

Whether persecution is against Jews as an ethnic/”racial” category or as adherants to a religion, it makes litte difference to the victims, or to others made victims by the persecutors.
