Fighting Trumpism and Single Party Takeovers in the forum Politics 1 week, 5 days ago
This is a great summary of old news, Jan 6, but current because Trumpism is still a serious threat. I like this particular presentation produced by Ravi Gupta, one of my favorite journalists and commentators. It’s 10 minutes long.
(I’m sure the youtube warning is about cursing. Just click on “watch”.)

The Republican Party is succeeding because America is not a true Democracy. in the forum Politics 6 months, 3 weeks ago
On the one hand, the Republicans complain that we should know the victor after the polls close because nobody wants to wait days, weeks, or months to find out who won. On the other, they are setting up a challenge process that could literally break the election process with no winner being…[Read more]

Unseen, I am sure we both recently have lost sleep over the FACT that the Furries are being pandered to and allowed to have their own litter trays in school. I suspect some will even have their names embossed on them in liberal lettering paid for by the taxpayers! Grrrgh!! At least some good Christians are standing up in protest against this…[Read more]

There is a miniseries which you can watch on Netflix and elsewhere called The Family. It explains the dark Christian mechanism for subverting and taking over U.S. government.
The sad thing is that now that it’s all unfolding before our eyes, there’s probably little that can be done to stop it. We missed the…[Read more]

All politics is local is a political adage that seems to be a reasonable statement. People tend to vote for a local politician that will represent their interests at a local level. In Atlanta, one of many States that have election deniers and incompetent people running for office next Tuesday, the adage falls flat on its face. People like…[Read more]

It’s a good explanation of the mechanics of it, but not the root causes.
I agree, but am recently thinking there’s more than one cause, and I’m often not sure which to call the “root cause” any more. There seems to be a kindof perfect-storm confluence of causes, where the most gullible or angry citizens are successfully led and p…[Read more]

It’s a good explanation of the mechanics of it, but not the root causes. I think the dissatisfaction of the aging- off-the-coasts-boomers knows no bounds. They feel they didn’t get their slice of pie and they were looking for a wrecking ball.

Here’s a take on why left and right candidates tend toward their extremes. I pretty much knew this already, but Fareed Zakaria has the best way to explain it that I’ve heard to date.

It feels like I’ve mentioned Steve Bannon a dozen times or more.
I just remembered a Johnny Harris NYT video that went into this “take over the precincts” strategy. My link skips right to the meat of the issue, about nine minutes into the twenty-five minute…[Read more]

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/05/190527094118.htm There are so many things in religions that contradicts it’s story, let’s take apples as an example. Did you know apples are really young fruit? Somewhere between 10,000 to 8000 years old. -
