I think the gun lobby hands out pamphlets on how to answer questions like this by sticking to rote answers. It’s robotic; bad guys, blah, blah, blah, hunting, blah, blah, government, blah, blah blah. To them it’s all lies and stage actors; just ask the idiot of info wars.

Heard a Brit friend of my daughter, while talking about 9/11, say that Ame…[Read more]

Eco, listen it’s really been a blast going back and forth about guns. I haven’t learned anything new other than to ask myself how does the whole Atheist thing pan out with all the god fearing, gun toting, USA!, USA! MAGA’s at the range? Because you love guns as much as they do does being an Atheist get a pass at the local citizen militia meetings…[Read more]

As for better and worse places to go, yes, there are those. In the United States, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine have almost no gun restrictions, yet have none of the crime and mayhem found in New York, New Jersey, Illinois, and California, which are all tight on gun control. If I could get to New Hampshire from North Carolina by ferry…[Read more]

The right shouldn’t be violated. But it should be regulated.

Google tells me:

According to the Supreme Court’s decision in District of Columbia v. Heller, the Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home.012 The majority held that the Second Amendment’s pre…[Read more]

Normal?

I normally ponder why the forefathers included a preamble in the second amendment and no one, not even the supreme court, recognizes that it’s there. But it’s plain as day: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, “.  But maybe it’s my clinically diagnosed deep depression that understands that sentence…[Read more]

But any coalition is only as strong as the word of the people in it. The scariest thing in the world for me would be being labeled a liar. In the end, standing naked in front of the world, my word is all I got. All these nations signed a pact and gave their word to defend one another if ever attacked.

Your thinking is that if the United States…[Read more]

Oh yeah, I do wonder why we can’t have nice things.

In 2001 we Americans had a trillion dollar surplus. President Bush quickly instituted tax cuts that wiped out the surplus. No better health care or infrastructure for you!!! In 2008 stock market crashed and we Americans slowly clawed our way back and the deficit was actually lowered. But the…[Read more]
