To Do or not To Do 10 years, 11 months agoYour dictionary definition in both cases are examples of very closely (if not indistinguishable) related fallacies (ad hominem and avoiding the question via personal attack) and have nothing to do with Unseen’s creative, original and personal idiosyncraticc definitions. Try again.
Saying it doesn’t make it so. I have already replied to this charge.

Bookish atheists 10 years, 11 months agoWhat is your most favorite book that you’ve ever read and why?
I’ll start. For me it’s hard because I can’t choose just one but if I had to I’d say Aristotle And Dante Discover The Secrets Of The Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz because it pulled at my heart strings. It was so beautifully written.

To Do or not To Do 10 years, 11 months agoAlso, you call my defintion “idiosyncratic” whereas it is really merely a minority usage, but it is sanctioned by the dictionary.

Bookish atheists 10 years, 11 months agoCurrently reading both A People’s History Of The United States by Howard Zinn and Maus 1 by Art Spiegelman.
-
I read Maus for school, it’s so good!
-
@Beth I am loving it so far but I don’t really like how it seems fast pace. Perhaps I’m just a speed reader.
-
I always read comics pretty fast.

To Do or not To Do 10 years, 11 months agoYou got the first one wrong. Just take off the conclusion part (“so…”) and you have it. It’s an attack on the person not what he says.
Without the explicit or implicit claim that the “attack” is relevant to the target’s position or the topic at hand there is no logical fallacy. It also doesn’t have to be an attack; it could be a complim…[Read more]

The fallacy – global warming isn’t real because Mike told me it was, and he’s an idiot. Is that right?
