27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east and shineth even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.

This appears to be one of the many false Messiahs prophesied to come.

Rather than “the Jews”, it seems to be a subset of people within Orthodox Judaism. While we often can’t escape generalization when talking about religion, wording still matters. It seems more that a small minority of Jewish people believe the Messiah is here. What this means for the prophesies of false Messiahs of which you speak… well, it’s all Greek to me. I’m too busy collecting unicorn tears to worry over prophecies.

I am surprised that the broad usage of Jews is not a topic. Jews? It means cultural, ethnic and religious. It is used any which way or in any combination. I am not aware of any other ethnicity that is stuck with that much baggage. Conflating religion with ethnicity is maddening. But what is surprising really? It is just another way to besmirch Jews. That is if their reputation can be sullied any more than it is…

Religion is a cancer wherever it is. Religion is a fuckstick to Israel and hey i guess the one thing Jews really can be blamed for it the genesis of Christianity and Islam. That is not a proud resume. Well not blame but cause in fact. No Jews then no Christianity or Islam. Probably there would have been some other horror show mythology without Judaism as a seminal fuck fuck.

Thanks, for the comments and reference Autumn. It would be earth shattering if this Messiah inspires the commencing of the building of the third Temple.

I suspect the good Count must still be about if the Messiah has only recently beamed down to Earth. I mean I had taken it as proof that Jesus was real because vampires are afraid of a holy crucifix. But if the recent arrival is the real deal then the good Count better be careful when he goes out for a bite to drink.

Is it expected that the new Messiah will be sacrificed for us or does he have other plans? Quick, I must find a theologian!

No doubt this is not the Apostolic Messiah, he is apparently fulfilling prophecies in their Rabbinical writings. At least according to them. But interpreting the Ukrainian war as the battle of Gog  vs. Magog  protagonist in the 38th chapter of the book of Ezekiel, appears to be a stretch, even if Russia invades Israel  as a consequences  of Israel’s conflict with Iran that they are citing. Other than that you have away with prose and verses. Truman Capote would be envious.

Everyone has his opinion on who the Real Jesus is.  And of course i have one too.  And He is Real.  And you can speak to Him and His Mom too.  Any time you want to.

And as the link shows they are persecuted by all in the world.  But some see.  And it is about those that see of course.

I agree that religion is bad news and not Good News.  Because God is the Living God and very much Alive.  And thus His Life should be visible too.

I’m aware that ‘everyone’ is figurative here, but if you’ll allow me to be literal, I can’t say I have much opinion on the real Christ. Whether there was such a historic figure in real life, or whether it’s an amalgamation of several people, or it’s all made up has never really concerned me. I don’t even have an opinion on the whole trinity/ son of god thing or whether he was a prophet. Not believing in gods, it follows I don’t believe in the Christ either, but it’s more a de facto position rather than a specific opinion on Jesus of Nazareth. Of all the things to think about in life, I find this doesn’t merit much consideration, personally.

I don’t really need to read anything to be indifferent to who the ‘Real Jesus’ is. Incidentally, I have read a fair bit on the subject matter, yet still nothing really ignites a spark to pick at the historicity of Jesus of Nazareth nor revisit the possibility that he is the Christ (or that messiahs exist in the first place).

I clicked through on the link, but I’m not sure what you specifically want me to read. The link points to a post with minimal commentary on selected scripture. It’s not really substantive, but if it does it for you, more power to you. To each their own.
