Correct, Unseen.
Not a typo. Rather a brain drain.
I have had the what is a Jew conversation. I don’t feel like getting into it.

Robert writes:
Jews are distinct because they don’t often intermarry other religions. This is nothing to be proud of. Thanks, you made my point. Racism is the excuse religions made up to blame something else for all the division they cause in the world. Africans were soulless savages that needed Christians to save them (by enslaving them f…[Read more]

Sudden Sam produces a nice little goony goo hoo asserting there is no moral equivalence between Israel and its enemies. Should not be controversial says he. I don’t disagree.

What is a Christian? A Jew who believes the prophet Jesus was the divine son of god. What is a Muslim? A Christian who rejects that Jesus was divine and instead follows the prophet, Mohammad.
Solution: Just give up all this bullshit and go grab a beer.
I will sign onto the give up the BS and grab a beer. I am an antitheist to the core. A cancer?…[Read more]

Let’s drop the “there was no Palestinian state” excuse for taking their land.
The idea that Jews have taken the Palestinian state is a lie. That is the significance of the never had a state assertion. The Palestinians fucked themselves. THEY HAD A STATE GIVEN TO THEM. Just like Israel. Problem is they wanted it all. They wanted all Jews drive…[Read more]

I love this perspective that perpetuates the age-old scapegoating of Jews. It is rich how nothing ever changes, how historical patterns are recirculated like tides lapping the shore.
The need for a Jewish state was known to Jewish thinkers in the 19th century. Of course zionism has become a DIRTY word just like JEW is a dirty word. It was…[Read more]

That is a great question.

Sunday School 3 years, 1 month agoReg has a short vid from Dawkins about Islamophobia.
How to reconcile the positions taken by Autumn and Dawkins?
Correct me if i misstate your position Autumn. Islamophobia is a valid term. Whether the target is Muslims or Islam is immaterial. It is not about Muslims or Islam. Rather it is about bigots. Autumn rightly points to instances in…[Read more]

Sunday School 3 years, 1 month agoUnseen, causation as an aspect of legal claims can get murky. By a preponderance of the evidence an action or omission by defendant creates an undue and forseeable risk of harm. Said omission or commission has to be the actual cause (sometime referred to as but for cause) and the proximate cause. Proximate cause takes a lot of explaining and…[Read more]

Consequences of lying?
Oh what tangled webs we weave when first we practice to _________.
Forseeability and proximate cause are concepts in negligence law and elements of claims. So causation or our perception/understanding of it is an integral aspect of legal claims. As one might expect it is not required of a plaintiff to…[Read more]

Apropos of not much i have always despised cow’s milk. It is pretty weird for an adult to drink milk and then of a different species. I have switched to oat milk and find it not great but better than milk.

Sunday School 3 years, 1 month agoAutumn would your defense of the term be the same if the target were child molesters? Pedophilphobia? So instead of a significant minority group of the entire population and its abhorrent institution we were considering irrational bigotry/antipathy towards molesters.

Sunday School 3 years, 1 month agoAutumn, i see where you are coming from. Strong case you’ve made. I am not really sure what i think after reflecting. On the one hand it seems ideas and people have to be separated. It is too sloppy to leave a term like Islamophobia an amorphous concept. On other hand i think human nature is such that ideas and humans espousing those ideas are…[Read more]

Sunday School 3 years, 1 month agoIn regard to islamaphobia it is pretty obvious ya gotta define the term. Are you referring to Muslims or Islam? Ideas or people?
If it is ideas then indeed it is an obnoxious term. Aint nothing irrational about fear/hatred of Islam.
Antisemitism is not a congruent term. The long history of hatred against all things Jewish is all encompassing.…[Read more]
