Men of Atheist Zone 10 years, 9 months ago@bellerose I don’t need anyone to bow down and kiss my feet. With barely any discomfort, I find I can kiss my own feet adequately should they exhibit a deficit of affection 🙂

Men of Atheist Zone 10 years, 9 months agoCan you define wrong, in this context? Are we specifying the nature of the statement? For example, “Grass is green” would be open to debate, particularly if a person is color blind (I am SO fucked off with autocorrect removing my ‘u’ from every second word – colour just dropped the u)
However, the statement “Grass looks green to me” is less…[Read more]

Men of Atheist Zone 10 years, 9 months agoQuestion:
If a person speaks their mind in a forest and no one is around to hear them, are they still wrong?
Answer:
If the person in the forest thinks the words they have just spoken are wrong, then the person in the forest is wrong.
The inverse is true as well.I on the other hand am always right and everyone else is always wrong. 🙂

Men of Atheist Zone 10 years, 9 months ago“Can you be wrong by yourself? Or is veracity rooted in community consensus?”
True is true even if no one believes it. False is false even if everyone believes it. Yes, you can be wrong all by yourself.

Men of Atheist Zone 10 years, 9 months agoThis depends on the topic. If the terms used are clear and the arguments used are verifiable then the person can still be wrong. He should be capable of taking a step back and objectively going over his argument and possibly admit he was wrong. That doesn’t require a second person.
If it is a matter of moral judgement…then depending on the…[Read more]

Atheist Cats 10 years, 9 months agoThere are tons of crazy facts about cats. One of the craziest is that human earwax is like ice cream for kitty cats. They love the stuff and it’s good for them, too.

Men of Atheist Zone 10 years, 9 months agoWe should probably move our edged weapons discussion away from the gun control discussion. This very short video makes plain what’s wrong with defense against knife defenses taught by self-defense or martial arts instructors. It does so by showing you what a real knife attack is likely to be like. Situation hopeless. Stay away from weird people…[Read more]

If something like that can happen like that, imagine it happening even less expectedly, or from behind.
Were I to attack someone with a knife (an unimaginable circumstance), I’d certainly follow the advice to use it before the other guy knows you have it. To use it decisively and to use it until the other guy is 100% neutralized.

I love Doug Marcaido’s videos on knives and fighting. This is one of my favorites:

Atheist Cats 10 years, 9 months agoI started this group because once I got a cat I started studying them and learning about them and along the way I discovered that the domestic cat is far more remarkable than people give it credit for. More intelligent in some respects than dogs, they are actually still wild. Almost any house cat, if it finds itself abandoned or lost, can quickly…[Read more]
