@Simon — what if you’re facing East-West? Then, the rotation of the Earth must have some kind of effect.
Do the forces acting on (pulling on) the bullet differ?
Have more fun(?). Shoot straight up and explain the effect of the Coriolis force.

@Simon – I did NOT say it’s wrong to ask a question. I did say to ask about the questioner.

Sunday School 8 years, 10 months ago@Simon; “Dr Bob falls into this category – he’s got his shit together.”
I disagree, Simon. Dr. Bob is intelligent and has built defenses too strong for most of us to penetrate. His defenses serve him well; they cause him to ignore serious challenges.

It’s the kind of thing in which very few atheists will be interested. To see a bit of that story, go to Wikipedia and search on “Don Bolles”, the newspaper reporter.

@Simon I don’t really know why never really thought about it, but I will give my stock answer.
Islam originated from a medieval hot desert with temperatures up to 50 degrees Celsius, and of course Muhammad will promise desert people heaven with lots of food, water, cool temperature, and unlimited sex (That’s why sex is repressed). And in order to…[Read more]

Sunday School 9 years ago@Simon – “Who said philosophy is dead?”
Google “is philosophy dead?” I did and the controversy’s size surprised me. Hawking remarked on its demise.
BTW – “dead” is metaphor. What say you to the hypothesis that every word in a language is metaphor?

Any fact can be understood or interpreted, differently by different people. it can also be understood or interpreted differently by any one person at different times.
