Health nuts should be more enticed than regular meat cuz of not using hormones and probably antibiotics along with controlling type and percent of fat.

This thought has been with me a bit: I saw a package of chicken that boasted it was “Cruelty-Free and Free Range” and simultaneously “Free of Antibiotics”.

    Wouldn’t depriving animals of…[Read more]

In addition to postings on this Forum, Mystery Science Theater 3000 is also great source of new vocabulary. Even Mike, who identifies as a Conservative Christian off-camera, gleefully joins in on the fun:

  • Enco,

I’ve heard lab grown meat is served in restaurants in Singapore. Still a process that needs to be refined. Carbon emissions will be significantly lower i think. Land requirements obviously far lower. The cells still need food so i guess that and energy are required. How much compared to animal farms? No can say.

She caught my look and continued…..”I mean, even as an atheist, you would be able to convince certain people that God is real”. I replied…[Read more]

  • That was truly excellent Reg. Very well done.

Was thinking about reading the Metamorphosis again. So cool that great literature is available at a click.

  • Let’s take the ‘Kafka Intifada’  a little further. However, I will coin it the “The Samsa Effect”.

Gregor does know that something has happened to him. What he fails to grasp initially is the significance of his transformation. His world has changed beyond recognition, but his inherited routine of thought continues running as though nothing fu…[Read more]

  • I am thankful to have vegetable meat. Hope cultured meat is on horizon and affordable too.

There are hot dogs that taste like cheap ball park franks. Sausage as good as sausage from meat. Hamburg a close second but when doctored indistinguishable. Bacon with the texture and not quite the taste and none of that bacony smell. Chicken is not that…[Read more]
