It may be presumptuous of me to assume posting to the forum “Theism”, I will encounter former Christians. Michael – I was in no way implying you should not post here….just in case you may have read that into it. We have been replying to each other for 10 years. But why not Christian sites instead of atheist sites. Do you want to encounter former Christians?

Thanks Reg. Indeed we go back 10 years! I use to post in the Christians news groups. I will indeed get feedback from there or a blog and bring it back.

I used to post on some Christian sites too but usually get barred for asking questions.

“But if your God has a plan for you,  even if it is mysterious,  then why do you keep praying to Him to change it”?

GET LOST YOU VILE ATHEIST!! WE DON’T WANT YOU KIND HERE. I WILL PRAY THAT GOD (YES HE IS REAL) BURNS YOU FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH YEAH. AND THEN YOU WILL KNOW THAT PRAYER WORKS!!!!!!!! SO THERE!!!!!!!

The Koran has similarities to the Bible when it talks of Adam and Eve, Moses and especially Abraham.

OH YOU ARE SUCH A FOOL!!! AND YOU ATHEISTS THINK YOU ARE SO CLEVER!! Well I have news for you, you stupid FUCKKKKKING atheist!!!!! Those people are all from the Old Testament which is in the HOLY BIBLE and not in the book of any false god. Please go and read it and then ask a proper real question.  I assume you can read?????????

Hours of fun to be had 🙂

These so called Christians are unable to enter their sanctuaries of protection due to the  Coronavirus. Their falsehood has been revealed by such a contradiction. Not shining examples of trusting in the promises of Psalm 91

The problem Michael is that they will also claim that your are not a “true Christian”, especially if you are not the born-again speaking in tongues kind of Christian.

Sometimes I get asked if I am a “real atheist” to which my reply is always; “Yes, I swear to God I am”.

Michael, what is the point of Prophecy?

If it is true then the future is predestined and what would be the point of it? A contingency depends on its antecedents. Change even one antecedent and the prophecy is obviated. Thus prophetic warnings require predestination. And if it is predestined then what is the point of warning or admonishing? That is a futility one would not expect from a creator.

Why would the prophet fail to be specific? The results of being nonspecific are predictable. If a prophet were to give details, lets say the advent of a particular technology used in a particular war then there would be no naysayers. Atheists would become faithful. Other adherents would become apostates for the true faith. The evils of sectarianism would be evaded and mankind would feel less and act less tribal. It seems so obvious that even Donald Trump would think that through.

They would indeed reply that. I would reply; “man lives not by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God”, so how come you’re not living by Psalm 91 and continuing your church meetings?

Prophecy is based on Satans kingdom being of one mind and few of us mortals resist his wiles. We who resist may be saved,  but the majority of us will be deceived and do his bidding unwittingly. The belief that we evolved from lower life forms with a lack of hominid evidence but supported by academic authorities empowers
the ungodly to pursue their agendas, Hitler, Stalin, whoever.   And these are the men that impact the grand sweep of prophecy
    .

That is a futility one would not expect from a creator. Why would the prophet fail to be specific? The results of being nonspecific are predictable. If a prophet were to give details, lets say the advent of a particular technology used in a particular war then there would be no naysayers. Well when Daniel gave specifics and detail academia claimed without proof that the prophecies where written after fact moreover, they claim that his future events only pertain to the Seleucid Empire which was present at writing of the forgery.

they would become faithful. Other adherents would become apostates for the true faith. The evils of sectarianism would be evaded and mankind would feel less and act less tribal. It seems so obvious that even Donald Trump would think that through.

When evil was cast out of the heavenlies , it fell into mankind who in most instances is unaware of its presence and its need to be cast out. Look at R rated movies and it’s audiences to see what appeals to our nature ( not mentioning the multi-billion dollar porn industry and how it is subverting our children and giving rise to immoral behavior of every kind. Behavior explicitly warned against in the letter to the Romans.) In such a climate, Trump in particular might not think it through.

Ooooooookaaaaaay Michael. That certainly clears things up.

I guess Satan has me by the short hairs.

Many moons ago I heard a Christian on the radio blaming some X rated video that was for rental in a video rental chain (remember them?) for the pending fall of civilization. Apparently the second time he watched it he found it even more disgraceful!!

I phoned up the station to warn him about not watching it in reverse because he would be so confused that he would not know whether he was coming or going!!  They would not let me on air 🙂

A Christian complaining about the content of a x rated movie, that’s a riot 🙂.  I guess the liturgy was conducted in Latin during mass all his life and he is clueless of what’s contained in the bible ,as his medieval predecessors who could be tortured for reading such a book.

Population growth and increasing urbanization in earthquake-prone areas suggest that earthquake impacts on human populations will increase in the coming decades.

    And?  So what?

What I mean is, it’s too ridiculous to say that specially bad things are happening now.  They’ve always happened.
