Enco, i was making a generalization that Jews and Asians are good citizens in that they come to new countries and want to assimilate and become educated and do well economically and socially. I’ve personally observed so called Cambodian boat people and their ascension was wild. A sharp contradistinction to Muslims who want to remain separate and not assimilate and instead impose their mythology and way of life. And that is obviously often not the case because some people rise above their indoctrination like the women who are apostates of Islam and are shunned by lefties. Their stories will cause their own lefty mythology to crumble.

So sure many ethnicities have mafia. Korean, Japanese, Chinese. Jews had murder incorporated. I was also referring to serial killers which truth be told are probably inconsequential in any population and a result of psycopathy as opposed to cultural/religious ideology.

Sickofancy. That is coined silver. It can be incorporated into that dictionary.

    #57242

I have added a few more terms to the dictionary, starting with ‘Cardinal’.

    Jake,

As far as generalizations go, you are correct, but hasty ones are like pudding of the brain best avoided and are as valid as calling feathers in hats macaroni. đŸ‡șđŸ‡žđŸ„

I was also referring to serial killers which truth be told are probably inconsequential in any population

Obviously not inconsqeuential to the victims, of course.

and a result of psycopathy as opposed to cultural/religious ideology.

Could be both. After all, would or could people claim Divine or Demonic command or possession if they never had a concept of the Supernatural?

Ya know you are right Enco. Hard core Muslim culture may indeed cause psychopathy to surface. Or any religious/secular ideology for that matter.

Sam Harris made an observation after he watched a video of Palestinians/Hamas dropping gays off buildings. Some of the executioners had a tiny bit of remorse or misgivings and carried out little gestures like a tap on the back
of the soon to be executed. Obviously Islam causes humans to be much worse than their natural inclinations. (oh fuck it drives me nuts when atheists are so oblivious to reality that they say shit like i can be good/moral without religion)

I have no or little doubt that Muslims are going to be subjected to greater and greater scrutiny and discrimination in the west. The mistake is to assess their degenerate culture as if it is their fault, as if they have chosen to be assholes. Not sure how much clearer it can be that the great majority have no ability or means of resisting. History is littered with this axiom. And if you are thinking Nazi Germany sure but it is kind of endless.

As far as delusions involving devil and other religious mythology in my view that is just the way delusions are colored for people who are indoctrinated. A similar phenomenon occurs in near death experiences. If driven by schizophrenia or some underlying illness or brain abnormality the delusion will be expressed with or without the religious crap.

Obviously Islam causes humans to be much worse than their natural inclinations.

It is human nature.  There are many similar situations throughout history.  But there are unique things about Islam.

There’s a special combination of moral purity, God, and sacredness.  The religion itself has been made sacred and therefore subject to moral purity, in ways that aren’t often true of Christianity.  When something is made sacred, all other considerations can drop away, leading quickly to callousness and vindictive cruelty.

Apparently the Islamic hatred of homosexuality was borrowed from the West in colonial times.  Before that, there was tolerance of gay people in the muslim world.  But now, that’s been made sacred as well, so that people feel free to be as callous as they like to support it.

    Simon,

Yeah it is human nature. It is evolution. But to consider whether Islam can be differentiated from Christianity in the way that it imparts or imbues its adherents with callousness, cruelty and utter disregard for human decency it is important to place each in historical context.

Christianity is merely a shadow of its former status and influence over people. Renaissance, reformation, and enlightenment. Deism emerging and Christianity splintering so that today’s version is inapposite.

Islam regulates every single aspect of life. How to handle ablutions, trips to toilet, how to enter a door, how to dress, how to behave in various circumstances. Play your role or pay the consequences. Total conformity demanded. Just don’t think or question particularly if you are female. And at least the Arabic/Muslim culture is one of shame. Honor is paramount. So value of one’s daughter pales in comparison to the the good name of the family. In essence the individual has little value particularly females, and any nonmuslims and ethnic minorities are a lower form of life. It is the opposite of current western culture…look at me looking at myself with my phone…me, me, my individuality.. In Islam this world is illusory and a brief stepping stone before attaining paradise. Suffering is insignificant. Death is the shit.

I realize i am embarking on a journey i don’t want to take. Gotta handicap Churchill. KY DERBY saturday. Anyways my conclusion is that there is very little difference in puissant forms of Islam and Christianity.

Our ape-borne, tribal, magical brains will be de-selected at some point. Until then we do have lots of suffering to administer to the “others”.

It is frustrating to those who have moments of clarity. Moment when our heritage of “killing to eat” under the leadership of an alpha ape becomes obvious. Moments when we understand why the spirits that arise from burnt flesh are so cherished. Moments when we realize there is no escaping our humble beginnings. And when we are gone, crocodiles will still lurch from the river with strong teeth and jaws as they continue on in their 200-million-year mission.

An Ode to The Trump Slump

Old Trump he shuffles, his head hangs low,
    Another factory its workers dumped.
He used to whistle, watch the good times roll,
This time the economy has him stumped.
Within his chest, a heavy, aching dread.
The vibrant pulse of commerce as it fades.
He reads the news, the fearful words are read
About the faltering country he betrayed

By invoking tariffs that he failed to understand
Which laid low his oligarchic plan.

The market news, makes faltering Trump feel low,
As businesses begin to slow and stall.
With each pitiful poll, his troubles only seem to grow.
HIs downfall clearly etched upon the wall.
The shop windows now wear a vacant stare,
Where commerce churned not so long ago.
This dragging, heavy slump hangs in the air,
A bitter wind that chills him to the bone

Leaving poor Trump to wonder…where to next?
How to blame Biden once again has him vexed.

He clutches tight his meager, dwindling stores,
As prices rise and opportunities fade.
He’s had hard times and weathered them all before,
But this time, sadly, many folks bills can’t be paid.
He sees his supporters pack their bags and go,
Their dreams and future now scattered to the breeze.
Old Trump just sighs, “I think I’d like to do some blow”
As all around him rots his addled brain does freeze,

This downturn sadly shows his folly to the max
Because, like a duck, it walks, and swims and quacks.

I can’t help but to argue with Creationists. I keep telling myself not to debate Science with this “kind” of people, but it is fun and sometimes I get a breakthrough.

“God seems to have spent most of his creative effort on beetles, not humans. I mean, there are 400,000 described species of them and only 1 species of human. Funny how God saved all species, but forgot the dinosaurs, mammoths, giant ground sloths, etc. What happened there? It’s not like he could spot 800,000 beetles and miss 2 dinosaurs? The ark must have been the most peaceful cruise in history — no predator-prey accidents, no insect infestations, no fungal blooms

..Why didn’t the lions, tigers, or wolves eat the deer, rabbits, or zebras in a packed wooden boat? Did the carnivores eat hay for a year? And after the flood, why didn’t they instantly wipe out all prey animals when released into a barren world? How did penguins get from Antarctica to the Middle East and back? How did kangaroos hop back to Australia without leaving any fossils or spreading across Eurasia? Why do marsupials only live in Australia and South America if they all came from a single ark? At least crocodiles can survive without eating but they must have great willpower when it comes to not snacking!”

Crocodiles are proof that evolution is not true. It is obvious that they have remained the same as they always did!

That’s what you take from what I just said? Okay so

modern crocodiles are evolving at a rapid rate, contrary to the common belief that they’ve been evolutionary “living fossils” largely unchanged since the time of the dinosaurs. New genetic research shows they are diversifying much more quickly than expected, particularly in their DNA, even if their outward body form seems relatively stable. Rapid genetic change despite slow morphological (physical) change. Factors like climate change, habitat shifts, and human pressures may be accelerating certain evolutionary pathways. They are active participants in evolutionary change, just in less obvious ways. In other words, crocodiles look ancient, but under the hood, their genomes are constantly adapting.

    Well, er
. Mmm. Eh?

    Come on guys
.800,000 beetles on a boat??

Good thing for him, reality and facts don’t matter at all. Loyalty to dictators, imaginary or not, is back in fashion.

    Reg,

I’ve read somewhere that forty days and forty nights of rain sufficient to flood the Earth and overtake Mount Everest would have to come down at the rate and pressure of Niagara Falls every second on every square inch of Earth. An Ark made of gopher wood would be smashed to toothpicks. If somehow it could avoid that fate, the air at the height of Mount Everest would be at too low a pressure for anything to breathe unaided. Either way, it would be an extinction event.

Nark on the ARK and literally a book of no f’g way it is possible could be written. But why waste the time on silly mythology?

    #57261

Ah yes, good old Kentucky Ham and his lark with the ark in the park.
