Yes, to an atheist, Islam seems extreme, unbending and oppressive. It’s also been hijacked by patriarchy. But I disagree with what a commenter said – that it’s inc…[Read more]

An exciting live recording of TW performing their song Disciple from a very recent concert event at the Pepsi Center in Mexico City, With this band, it’s not just how well they play, how well they write songs, but also their increible stage presence.

One similarity between Trump and Harris in their prez. campaigns. Both signalled their rejection of jewishness. Trump said, my son in law happens to be Jewish. Guys, when I talk about the absence of Jewish characters, I’m not particularly talking about rabbis, men wearing yamulkas, or obvious ultraorthodox men in black coats and bizarre hats.
How about characters with obvious European Jewish names like Cohen, Blume, all the variations on Gold (Goldberg, Goldblum, Golden, etc.), Horowitz, Katz,…[Read more]

It feels like being Jewish isn’t a big thing in the UK, in the sense that it’s not a big deal for anybody, unless someone is Orthodox, when it’s obvious. People don’t seem to care that someone is Jewish.
I agree with Simon. I don’t think it is given any attention by anyone. The Orthodox community, mainly around the Golders Green area might st…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 9 months agoHere’s another weird number from mathematics. It’s called “i” (the letter between h and j in the standard alphabet). I wasn’t absolutely sure mathematicians consider it a number, so I asked the Gemini AI “is i considered to be a number in mathematics?” and got this reply:
Yes, i is considered a number in mathematics.

Sunday School 1 year, 9 months ago@unseen Pi is like a long Chinese dragon. The three is a lead strong red. The 1 is white but then 4 green and 2 yellow. Effectively colours tailing off into the distance.
@Jake I like the weirdness. I met someone who has sound synesthesia and listens to music whilst she watches colours dance.
It’s a fun oddity

Something like 40% of people have it in a small way.If you’d like to check whether you are in that 40%, ask yourself “What colour is Wednesday?”
