You’re c0nfusing statements about the world, which can have a truth value, with what they are statements about the world, which is truth itself.

I’m currently subscribed to BritBox in Amazon’s video space. I’ve watched programs of unparalleled excellence like Line of Duty (about what we Yanks would call Internal Affairs) and The Inspector Lynley Mysteries.
When I finally watched the last episode…[Read more]

It’s not like I never considered or explored the solution you offered.
You still use the window which has to be closed shut. That loses the window as far as I’m concerned. A further complication is that units in my building have windows that swing on side hinges. They don’t slide up and down. So a normal in-window installation is…[Read more]

Speaking of “going under,” when someone wonders aloud what death is like I tell them that if they’ve had general anesthesia, then they do know what death is like. “You know that period between when you go under and when you wake up? That period of lost time? That is death.”

Interesting interview filling in a lot of the blanks fans wonder about like the songwriting process. Also, Ale is now totally grown up. No longer the quiet one who lets her extroverted older sisters talk for her. And why don’t they write more in Spanish?

I can find no statistics on how many/what percentage of gun deaths were bad guys killed by gun owners defending themselves or their homes/property. I suspect it’s miniscule in comparison by people—probably mostly children—killed in home gun accidents.
