@ Robert Israel will not accept a 2-state solution unless the unguaranteeable is guaranteed: That the government of the Palestinian state would be friendly toward Israel.
Ding, Ding. The few sensible Arabs that have tried to make peace got murdered or deported for their efforts. Is Israel killing children because they are also “Jihadists” and simply hate Arabs that much? Are they randomly just firing rockets over the border. No, and you know it. What would you have Israel do? Cease fire and just walk away and wait to be attacked again?
Palestinians are so afraid of (1) the wrath Allah and (2) their own government, Hamas. Well, here is a chance for them to rise up and rid themselves Hamas for good. If Israel got information of an internal armed insurrection or civil war against Hamas, they would cease fire and provide assistance. But no, instead let’s continue to use our children as human shields and let them become martyrs and of course fire more rockets. Pathetic human beings.
Even when Hamas is gone, there is Hezbollah in Lebanon, Iran’s preferred ally. A goddam terrorist army bigger and badder than Lebanon’s official state force. WTF is wrong with those people?

Most Lebanese are convinced that Israel has a long-term plan to take over the country, said Samir Hussein, an engineer living in Tyre who runs an organization dedicated to civic dialogue.
At least he is trying. So many brainwashed followers of the warlord.

Hello! They are firing rockets because the current occupants took their land.

This dispute is about the theft of land, not religion, and being driven into an open air concentration camp.

Western interference has a lot to do with it. Would Iran have become radicalized if the U.S. hadn’t installed the Shah?
November 21, 2023 at 4:07 am #51449As Gaza burns, the old Democratic playbook on Israel is becoming risky
Biden is taking a huge hit in the polls for his approach to the Israel-Gaza war.Earlier this month, progressive Democratic strategist Waleed Shahid argued in a column for MSNBC that President Joe Biden was risking his re-election by alienating his Muslim and Arab American supporters with his staunch support of Israel in its response to Hamas’ Oct. 7 attacks. As interested as I was in the argument, I was skeptical that the aggrieved populations cited were big enough — or truly committed enough to defecting from the Democrats — to significantly threaten Biden’s 2024 odds.
But a new political reality is emerging that suggests that Biden’s problem may be bigger than just disaffected Muslim and Arab Americans. The pollsters who conducted a new NBC News poll connect Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war to his hitting the lowest approval rating of his presidency. The survey found that 51% of Democrats and a plurality of young voters, 42%, believe Israel has gone too far in its military operations. The poll also found that 41% of Democrats disapprove of Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war and that 49% oppose providing military aid to Israel, something Biden has pushed for vociferously.
November 22, 2023 at 1:24 am #51450Oh yeah, Biden winning is questionable. He’s been a nice return to normalcy, and he managed some wins, but he could step aside and allow a field to develop, just to save us from the tangerine Idi Amin.

We agree here. When will the gerontological mutual admiration society called The Democratic Party, asleep in their echo chamber, wake up and realize they need to put up a “young” candidate (someone not out of their 60’s) who’s absolutely 100% squeaky clean and worthy of everyone’s admiration, like…
November 22, 2023 at 4:26 am #51452What monsters would build tunnels and a command center under a hospital? Find out in an interview conducted by flustered and shocked veteran mainstream international affairs journalist Christiane Amanpour.
November 22, 2023 at 9:33 pm #51454Unseen,
What monsters would put firearms and grenades made of ferrous metals in the same room with an MRI that could magnetize them and set them off?
When I was in the hospital, I couldn’t even take keys or a wallet into the same room with the CT and MRI.
Neither competent, innocent life-respecting Doctors nor competent, innocent life-respecting weapons owners would put weapons and MRI together. Only someone like Hamas.
And what kind of genocidal Little Satan Zionist Entity Aggressor would either construct or permit hospitals in Gaza to even have tunnels underneath them?
And what kind of genocidal Little Satan Zionist Entity Aggressor with modern weaponry would have let Gaza exist past October 8?
Again, this is not how genocide works. Dummy.

Was there any mention of an MRI in that viddy? I may have been distracted at that moment, but I don’t remember any mention of an MRI machine. Anyway, based on my own experience with having an MRI, the concern is only when the machine is running. I remember laying down on the little bed and being asked if I was sure I had no metal on me or in me before they turned it on.

November 23, 2023 at 12:31 pm #51459Too bad he didn’t heed his own lessons in real life. This coming from a guy who led heartily planned and participated in the US led oil-war campaign in Iraq and was all-in on the revenge-fueled 2nd Iraq war, two boneheaded mistakes of the century in my opinion. Much of the trouble in the region today can be traced directly back to those wars; they really stirred-up the hornet’s nest that is radical Islam.

He was still on active duty at that time, was he not? We expect our active military to leave politics to the politicians.

Yeah, I wish. He was vocal for both but retired and was a Fox News regular guy for Fucker Tarlson for the revenge wars. Flynn takes the cake, when it comes to politically deranged military types, however.
November 24, 2023 at 5:09 am #51462@ Robert
Fox News gets it right occasionally. Even Cucker Tarlson (way back before he got fired for not playing their game the way they wanted). Strangely, sometimes guests who are actually telling the truth aren’t welcome on CNN, MSNBC et al because the truth isn’t part of the government propaganda the mainstream media’s taken on the role of spreading. This leaves the left and right to dish it out. Whatever you can say about Col. Macgregor, his values are in the right place when it comes to Gaza and Ukraine and his disdain for the military-industrial complex.

AL-SHIFA HOSPITAL, HAMAS’S TUNNELS, AND ISRAELI PROPAGANDA
From the article:
After initially claiming that Al-Shifa Hospital was effectively Hamas’s Pentagon — a narrative publicly bolstered by the Biden administration — the IDF released its first round of purported evidence, which more or less consisted of a smattering of automatic rifles, some nestled behind an MRI machine, and a conveniently placed combat vest with a Hamas logo on it. With the exception of Israel’s most die-hard supporters, this effort appeared to convince almost no one of the sweeping assertions about Al-Shifa’s importance to Hamas’s current operations. After all, the IDF had already shown the public a slick 3D video model purporting to be a depiction of an advanced underground command and control lair used by Hamas. So Israel’s first effort at selling the case fell flat.
Several other efforts to produce videos of what Israel claimed to be evidence of a significant Hamas base at hospitals have been met with widespread derision and skepticism, including from Western media outlets that historically report Israeli military assertions about its operations against Palestinians as fact. The IDF videos have been mocked across social media and compared to Geraldo Rivera’s much-hyped — and utterly disastrous — live 1986 nationally televised special promising to reveal the secrets hidden in Al Capone’s underground vault.
Al-Shifa staff, as well as a European doctor who worked there for years, vehemently deny that the hospital is used by Hamas for any military purpose. For what it’s worth, Hamas also denies it.
November 24, 2023 at 5:38 am #51464Unseen,
So scoffing and derision are all the pro-Hamas side has against physical evidence?
They’d be laughing if the weapons went off and/or if the MRI were rendered inoperative when innocent patients or even themselves needed the MRI. Maybe Hamas should have thought about all that.
By the way, here’s a report about the weapons behind the MRI. Are they laughing at themselves at the BBC?
