The creation of Israel was a huge mistake. Changed the world in a negative and threatening way.

Acts of terrorism were rare and Palestinian Arabs and Jews lived together largely in peace. They ate together, worked together, and babysat for each other.

The U.N. changed all that.

Why do you think the U.S. supports Israel? It’s hardly ever discussed on the major TV networks or the mainstream news websites, so the average American is unaware that our dogged support of the occupying force and it’s dominion over the “open air prison,” Gaza, is all about evangelical mythology surrounding The End of Days, which ironically has nothing to do with preserving the Jews and has everything to do with preparing the way for The Second Coming. They believe that when Jesus returns, he will rule the whole world from his throne in Jerusalem.

I am telling you that is the byproduct of your chickenshit fear mongering—indifference to human suffering. Palestine is suffering now*. Even if a Palestinian state was created, it presents marginal tangible threat to our national security overseas. It is a national security matter for Israel, but that it is “a front in a larger struggle, one that is equally against us” is bullshit. Even if ideologically there is a kernel of truth, in practical terms it’s a non-starter. This does not concern our safety and as such we shouldn’t use that as an excuse to put our thumbs on the scale when there are people who are actually suffering and dying, including innocences such as children.

*As is Israel, but the state of Palestinians is an ongoing humanitarian crisis even without this most recent spate of violence.

Not just to a Jihadist. Military strategists throughout the ages have not given a fuck. Not enough to prevent children from becoming ‘collateral damage’. Attracting and promoting disordered thinking is far from a Hamas patented process. The point I am making is not giving a free pass to those inflicting violence; it’s that we shouldn’t also succumb to disordered thinking ourselves adding more fuel to the fires of irrationality. If people have concerns for Palestinians and Israelis affected by violence, understandable. But if people born and raised in places like Canada and the US start injecting our own marginal risk profile into the situation, well those chickenshits can go fuck themselves. Fuck. Them. Selves.
