    Provocative article Reg. Borders.

Borderline. Feels like i am going to lose my mind.

Gee Wally. It sure feels swell to scapegoat Israel. No wait. It is not scapegoating. It is evenhanded blind scales of justice assessment of the government of Israel. It’s just that the government of Israel is 50 times worse than any other place on earth and thus have earned the condemnation of the always objective and impartial UN. The UN even has a cadre of caring teachers who inculcate their Palestinian students that Jews are prizes to be killed. Life’s highest attainment is in killing those evil Jews. But it is the government that counts. Scientifically verified assumptions about being in league with the devil and having a third eye and other fun stuff they learned from the Nazis. The UN being objective and impartial would not condemn Israel the way it has and have such stearn teachers were it not warranted by the government of Israel. I mean if they focused on other nations with worse human rights records that would mislead everybody into thinking they can get away with anything and everything. By making an example of the government of Israel tyrants everywhere and governments with horrifying brutality would think they can get off scot free. As it is they know the UN and protestors will come down on them hard. You see how Iran has been influenced? What counts is that the protestors and watch keepers deter oppression all over the globe by checking the Israeli government.

Oh and the protestors around the world are only ever motivated by their disdain for the Israeli government and its policies as they champion the cause of the Palestinians. Just the Palestinians in Gaza, West Bank and Israel though. The ones who are victimized by apartheid in the Arab world don’t count. Yeah i know what you think. How come the protestors began acting out their righteous indignation immediately after the Hamas attack and before Israel responded? Well that is obviously because they knew in advance that the government was going to protect its own by responding militarily. Other governments would not be so inclined and would instead adopt passivity so that the good sensibilities of Hamas would recognize that passivity in the face of aggression begets peace.

The historicity of the mess left by the French and English colonialists is interesting reading. However it does not exactly fit with the notion that the Israeli government is to be blamed for all of the intractable issues in the middle east. I mean if Israel just disappeared everything there and in its orbit would be jim dandy swell. No jihad. Okay i know you are thinking that Jihad is a pervasive issue the world over and typically has nothing to do with Israel. But if only Israel ceased to exist or never existed then the Islamic militants would lay down their arms and be the living examples of the religion of peace. No they don’t actually want to take over the world and impose sharia law and have a fancy caliphate. Their religiosity and live and let live credo would surface sans Israel. And the economies and governments of the middle east would be swell too. I mean we have to ask for justification for the very existence of the state of Israel. What have they done for us? We don’t ask that of other nations? Well that is because the government of Israel is to blame for the Palestinians…rrr really everything.

And i just know we have to drill into impressionable young minds the narratives concocted about the government of Israel as we go merrily along. Row row row your boat gently down the stream. Merrily merrily merrily Jews are but a dream. Were it only so!

Jeez, if you think war crimes are justified in this particular case, just say so or stop yer fricken whining. You can’t turn a turd into tiramisu through sheer quantity of verbiage, though that seems to be your strategy: an attempted proof by word count. “See, I wrote a lot so that proves I must be right!”

Withholding water: War crime or not? or just not when Israel does it?

Operating a semisecret prison for Palestinian prisoners: War crime or not? or just not when Israel does it?

Shackling prisoners hands and feet so tight circulation is cut off, requiring amputation: War crime or not? or just not when Israel does it?

I don’t deny Hamas does the same or worse, but Hamas is not supported by my tax dollars. Hamas is not supported by a government that professes to believe in and practice the commonly-held rules of warfare.*

If Israel can only win by committing war crime atrocities, make that argument for us.

    * The United States is bound by the rules of war, also known as the laws of war, which are a set of rules that aim to regulate the conduct of war and protect civilians and combatants from unnecessary suffering. The laws of war are based on treaties, customary international law, and domestic law. The US Department of Defense has also developed guidelines and policies to ensure that US military personnel are aware of and comply with the laws of war. Failing to adhere to them can result in a a court martial.

    Unseen,

There have been many opportunities to address the very real and universal problem of police brutality. We could have abolished asset forfeiture, we could have ended “The War On (Some) Drugs,” as well as ended “Victimless Crime” laws, we could have instituted Civilian Review Boards and held officers to their Constitutional Oaths and Affirmations, It would have improved law enforcement worldwide, including in Israel.

Instead, the Woke Antifa and Burn Loot Murder mob hijacked the issue and turned it into a race war and an excuse to destroy cities and call for crazy shit abolishing police and prisons.

Likewise, the cause of stopping police brutality in Israel has been hijacked by the Jew-hating Pro-Hamas crowd too. Again, nothing good will be accomplished by that.

Intent is what matters. A majority of Palestinians under Hamas leadership intend to kill every single Jew by their own admission. If Israel wished that, millions of Islamists would be dead already. I don’t believe in assuming Palestinian civilians are all innocent victims. Hamas fighters didn’t build 400 miles of tunnels or smuggle-in tons of ordinance by themselves. On the attack day they were out in the streets dancing. Just like they did on 9/11. They as guilty as every German who supported the Nazi war effort.

Once a culture dresses a little girl in a suicide vest or fires rockets from schoolyards, face it, all talk of Israeli war crimes is nonsense.

    Reg,

Sumaghiyyeh sounds soothing and sumptuous…but a Secular Ramadan? How is that possible?

Ramadan celebrates the 40-day game of “Telephone Tree” between Allah, The Archangel Jibril, and illiterate, cave-blinded Muhammad. How can that be Secular?

Are your hosts just in it for the food?

(This also inspires a question to Stump The Imam if you ever have a debate with one: If Muhammad got the words of Al-Qu’ran from Archangel Jibril, who got them from Allah, whose perfection is unmatched by anyone, including Jibril, then how can we know that the words of Al-Qu’ran really were the words of Allah?)

    Jake,

The Beaver is not Kosher and thus has no reason to fear Jews. As June asked Ward: Don’t you think you’re being a bit hard on The Beaver?

Say it. Say that Israel is justified in engaging in war crimes.

BTW, the ICC is looking into issuing arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Hamas leader Sinwar:

Stupid and unsubstantiated. Let’s give terrorists the advantage. Sorry, but the Hamas government didn’t sign-up for or abide by any international conventions or treaties. The only ethical thing left to do is to eliminate them completely. If they wish to sacrifice more of their own people for the glory of Allah and the Iranian mullahs, that wish should come true in that eradication effort. Nobody gave two shits when civilians got hammered when ISIS got eradicated. Because that wasn’t the Jews doing the killing.

    Fellow Unbelievers,

Some great news on this front: The Ayatollah benefactors of Hamas are now distracted with suppressing all the Iranians celebrating the helicopter crash deaths of Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and President Ebrahim Raisi:

Fireworks and dancing as Iranians defiantly celebrate Raisi’s death
Jubilant scenes posted online while regime broadcasts footage of mourning after president killed in helicopter crash
    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/05/20/fireworks-dancing-iranians-celebrate-raisi-death-tehran/

Raisi was a real brute! He slaughtered 5000 dissenters during The Iran-Iraq War, 500 dissenters during protests of recent economic hard times, and he suppressed women protesting the morality police murder of Masha Amini.

Like the Hamas murder-suicide boomers: May Abdullahian and Raisi Rest In Pieces! 🎆😁

Enco, i never thought i could slip a loony tunes ref. past you. But you’re breadth extends to old sitcoms.

So i finally ran across a lefty who has seen the light in re to the mini religion of Jew hatred. And she is a Jew. If you listen from about 12 minutes you can hear her story from her indoctrination to her awakening. She is woke. BAM!

Vast majority of humans are so fucking stupid and incapable of thinking clearly. If ivy league students are so easily led…

I knew as soon as i heard the BS narratives against Israel that it was thinly veiled antisemitism. When you have gone as far as identify with Hamas though it is just very disheartening. Even if you are a moron and believe everything alleged against Israel & the condemnation is not related in any way to antisemitism your brain ought to kick in when you contemplate Hamas. What has Hamas done? What are its origins? What are its objectives?

Is there any school that will experiment with critical thinking as a primary component of education? ( hell i would take anything about numbers from IDF with a grain of salt but when the source is Hamas and you just parrot the numbers of women and children and totals as the media, public personalities have and as self-styled philosophers then you know critical thinking is absent} And even then the teachers will probably influence the kids to think the way they think. It would require extraordinary teachers to do it well. Yeah no real hope. Humans from the putative most intelligent to the brain dead can be indoctrinated in any morality or in any beliefs.

Sorry, but the Hamas government didn’t sign-up for or abide by any international conventions or treaties.

If the other side is unethical, that gives you permission to be just a bad or hit them back ten times harder (Trump). That’s a prescription for a world with NO standards of behavior.

So, I think I can summarize your position as sometimes war crimes ARE okay.

So, do Iranians hate and want to murder every last Jew or not? Your depiction is of a country that wants to join the civilized nations, it would seem.

I would hope that any truly critical thinker would not want Israel to respond to Hamas’s barbarism with even more extreme barbarism, as they seem to be doing now.

Netanyahu, currently facing a potential war crimes tribunal along with several Hamas leaders, has vowed that Israel will not stop fighting in Gaza till the last Hamas fighter is dead. Given that they seem to be killing numerous innocent civilians for every success in eliminating a Hamas fighter, I wonder if any Palestinians will be left once that is achieved?

So, the fire-bombing of German cities and nukes over Japan were so called war crimes. Big deal. They ended the war ASAP. That was the moral thing to do. So yeah, a war crime can easily be the lesser of two evils.

The answer is obvious. The Ayatollahs and their Revolutionary Guard hate Israel and the Jews and the Iranian people who live under the oppression of the Ayatollahs do not hate Israel and the Jews.

Once the Iranian people overthrow the Ayatollahs and replace them with a Secular, freer polity, (and hopefully have A Whole New Disneyworld™ in Tehran,) then Iran will be ready to join civilized nations.

Who knows? An Iranian Citizen free to express his or her mind and freely mobilize his or her petroleum-and-egg money could make the first Zero-G Persian Rug! What a ride that could be!
