I am torn between argument from popularity and argument from authority as the greater logical fallacy. Without appeals to authority figures or the adamant mofos on their side most are lost.

In that noble experiment the following topic of link would be front and center.

One of the first arguments i made when i debated existence of gods with other kids was the argument that their beliefs were formed as a result of their environment. The accident of the locus of your birth does not determine reality except that it does for you. You are all familiar. “If you grew up in a Hindu household you’d as ardently believe in the monkey god.”

And it is funny cuz i see humans as all pretty much the same. Medieval Christians were like hard core Muslims of today. Mindless Nazis who could not question the fuhrer even though if we are the master race how come our Jewish citizens are outperforming us? And even if it is true what justification do we have for what we are intending? The ardent Trump cultists. I have spoken to many online. They are incredibly myopic. At face value, hopelessly stupid. And the lefties as i have railed here insanely stupid. Beliefs and their formation are central to every aspect of civilization. And yet we mostly ignore this topic in schools. It is time for that to change. There is no ignoring how beliefs are the direct cause of a great deal of the horrors that humans have engaged in and continue to do.
