This guy destroys the lefty lies about Israel.
February 12, 2025 at 12:04 am #56255“There are no magical solutions that can simply dissolve the conflict. The audacity of presenting such a solution — one that echoes terms like transfer, ethnic cleansing and other war crimes — is an insult to both Palestinians and Israelis.”
February 12, 2025 at 6:16 am #56256Just wondering how tangerine Idi Amin’s Gaza takeover plan is supposed to work. He said they have to give up the hostages by Saturday 12 noon or it’s gonna be hell. Already is, but OK. Oh, and BTW we are still gonna take over Gaza no matter what. You all just need to walk to Jordan or Egypt or something.
February 12, 2025 at 2:27 pm #56257Interesting times.
Crystal balls needed for future of USA and Gaza.
If poll is to be believed or even if it is in the ballpark then arrangements should be made to help those who want to escape that horrid environment in Gaza. Gazans are Sunni. So all of the Shia dominant countries probably won’t want them. So Iraq and Iran are out. Moderate Saudi, moderate by comparison, and ruled by monarch although Sunni won’t want them. Monarchs are afraid of terrorist groups as they contend for power and undermine stability of a nation. Palestinians in Gaza are so indoctrinated into jew hate and if not terrorists great candidates to become terrorists. Saudi has removed some of the jew hating curriculum. UAE as well. They won’t want em. Jordan has a great many already. Egypt is Sunni but they won’t want em. They were working covertly with Israel against Hamas before oct 7. Is there any place in middle east that will take the Gazans who are not interested in the political rhetoric, who want better lives? As for Europe i am skeptical any European nations will take many if any. Sure they pretend that they care but do they? Consider how the most liberal nations like Sweden are paying Muslims to get out of Dodge or is it Stockholm. And then there are nations that are adopting laws to discourage immigrants. So not looking to cool. Incentives or threats might be required to facilitate worthy candidates for emigration.
If Gazans stay there i can’t see anything good coming from Arabs in any Islamic nations having suzerainty whether Gazans have some or no autonomy. The one thing that unites groups like Shia and Sunni is their common hatred of Jews and Israel. Hate is a powerful unifier. So nothing good will come of that arrangement. And unless the mosques and schools are regulated from without it will be more cycles of the same terrorism followed by reprisals. And western lefties coming in to do that work will want to continue the cycles of violence.
i can easily extrapolate an Israeli population that is sick of sending their own to die when they have the power to obliterate Gaza and there is no sign of change from Gazans. The futility of the being a nice guy when they just wont get the message that they are there to stay. Deal with it or die. Israel could commit actual genocide at some point. No more sending notices to get out because an attack is imminent. No more requiring lawyers to approve military action as consistent with international standards. No more humanitarian corridors. No more aid. No more regard for civilians who are human shields. No more historically good ratio of killing combatants to Hamas.

Yesterday, you agreed with me, I thought, that the question of whether the Palestinians are “a people” in the ethnological sense, is not the point.
They are a people in a different sense: by living together, sharing a place and resources, owning property there, having a sense of community. That community used to be inclusive with the Muslims and Jews living side-by-side as neighbors, peacefully. The establishment of a Zionist state has been, understandably, the source of the current hostilities.

Trump has mental problems. He can’t make up his mind about anything. For example, he put a 30 day hold imposing tariffs on both Canada and Mexico. That has been totally forgotten in less than a week.
When it comes to Gaza, he’s basically pledging to finish what the Netanyahu regime has been doing since the Hamas terror attack, and then put a cherry on top in the form of the most grandiose Trump property ever (if you don’t count Greenland, Canada, and the Panama Canal).
But who’s dumb enough to stay at a resort that might be under attack at any moment?
February 12, 2025 at 8:45 pm #56260SEEmInGlY unrelated to anything and yet dETerMINED.
That bitch had it coming, the gang rape, what with her wearing a low cut diaphanous dress. Oh, and the suffragettes had it coming in the night of terror. Couldn’t they just accept things? Fuckin bitches. Then the Pinkertons had to kill a few malcontents for Carnegie. Well couldn’t they have just left well enough alone? Some pay is better than nothing. Assholes.

February 13, 2025 at 6:43 am #56262The following may be the seminal Gaza Trump plan. Other than the obvious problem of what the Gazans do during the construction and many logistical isues it makes a lot of sense. Agriculture, tourism, tech. Deradicalize. Focus on education that leads to good jobs. That in and of itself might help ameliorate the patholgical fixation with destroying Israel and murdering Jews.
“Furthermore, Pelzman suggests that experts appointed by the foreign shareholders would oversee an educational system based on deradicalization, “with external oversight to assure the development of a skilled population.” Pelzman suggests importing curricula – from kindergarten to university – from the educational models of the UAE or Saudi Arabia, based on their recent reforms and Sunni-Sufi Islamic teachings.”
i am more than a little dubious anything like this unfolds. But if it did Israel and Gaza would have no reason to oppose two state solution. Could create a paradigm shift in the middle east. But yeah chimerical at best.
February 13, 2025 at 1:11 pm #56263Do you still support Hamas? Palestinians: “Of course”, LOL.
It does looks like an unlivable rebuild situation. And if you do not administer (or allow) any aid….Gazans will have to hit the road or die in that rubble. I bet this is the real plan. Looking at some opinion reports, Trump can’t overtly use tax money for rebuilding Gaza or Americans will go ballistic. So, he needs other nations to get involved.
February 13, 2025 at 5:18 pm #56264And who would risk investing in a trillion to two trillion dollar investment as long as there were 2 million Palestinians there?
Terrorism anyone? The Zionist/evil American entity? Bikinis not burkas at the little nudist colony for the resort? First terrorist attack and that is the end of tourism.

Are all Israeli scientists Zionists? Or are you saying that if someone’s a Jew, they are a Zionist? “If they nay be Zionist, they nay be Jewish!”

Not nations. Oligarchs.
February 13, 2025 at 6:44 pm #56267What is the basis for a Zionist state? It’s that God gave the general area of Palestine/Israel to the Jews. That is their only claim and it’s as relevant as one’s belief in God.
From Gemini AI (emphasis mine):
The belief that God gave the land of Israel to the Jewish people is a common view among many religious Christians and some American Jews, particularly Orthodox Jews. According to the Bible, God promised the land to the descendants of Abraham and his sons forever. This promise is seen as a fulfillment of biblical prophecy and a divine decree that cannot be stopped.
However, there are differing perspectives within Jewish communities. While a majority of American Jews do not believe that God literally gave the land of Israel to the Jewish people, a significant portion, especially Orthodox Jews, do hold this belief. The Pew Research Center found that 40% of American Jews believe God gave the land of Israel to the Jewish people, compared to 82% of white evangelical Protestants.
Orthodox Jews are more likely to believe in this divine promise and are more emotionally attached to Israel compared to other denominations within Judaism. This belief is often tied to a commitment to support Israel and to pray for its peace.
