Sometimes I think I should change the focus away from Evangelicals and Bad Science but we can only tackle what we know about. I think there is a global denialism of the reality of Climate Change. It is not some future event but it is happening everywhere already. It could be that the general swing towards right wing populists is a symptom of it too. They don’t talk about it and people vote for them so they don’t have to hear about it.

So you can’t be a man if you don’t smoke the same incense as them? Or for that matter if you want your Sunday Mornings free? Or if you don’t like Patriarch Kyrill telling you what to think? Or if you don’t favor invading Ukraine and kidnapping thousands of Ukrainian children?

They are right about Protestant Churches being more feminine-oriented, but that’s yet another reason to have Sunday Morning’s free from all denominations.

How to fix the American healthcare system.

I have a diabetic foot wound as we speak and have had my foot in a boot for 8 months.

None of that New York Times “Old Grey Lady” socio-babble addresses my problem.

I don’t smoke and with Metformin and proper diet I keep my blood sugar below 120mg/DCL most mornings. I would exercise and have less weight if I were out of this boot. My condition is at least stable for now.

What I need and what the people in that article need is a lab-grown stem-cell tissue graft for the wound, and in vivo gene therapy to rebuild the pancreas. And make it all as cheap and plentiful as triage therapy.

Decades of third-party financing of health care has made everything medical more expensive and decades of pontificating about “tampering in God’s domain” and “The Precautionary Principle” over technology like stem-cells, cloning. and genetic modification have senselessly tied up medical progress with bureaucracy and regulation.

No one is touching third-party financing of health care via Medicare/Medicaid, Trump’s tariffs will likely make medical supplies even more expensive, and RFKJR will most likely continue the pontification against medical progress.

These far-right “manly/religious” types exist in their mommy’s basements and are repulsive to most American gals who want a centered equal partner. Lots of guys are out of luck simply because women don’t need them anymore or want to put up with their bullshit. They would have done OK, midcentury, maybe. So yeah, off to Russia where they can join up with the manly Putin knob-licker, (and weird scalp-artist) Steven Seagal.

I sometimes say “only this, nothing more” when i go through a drive through for coffee or whatever. I think only once, maybe twice, has the response been drive right up or some affirmation of understanding. It’s “anything else sir?”
