Politics 1 day, 15 hours agoMore on “last minute” attempts of election tampering, in progress. My link skips about 6-1/4 minutes into the video to save time, getting right to the news kernals. I’d say then that about 6 minutes that follow are worth watching.

It’d be most cool if MAGA recognizes and revolt against how Trump/DOJ/Election Deniers push plans to corrupt election results.

I remember Oct 17 1989, as the day a big quake, the “Loma Prieta” hit the SF Bay Area. I saw ripples move through the pavement of a parking lot, about 25 miles north of SF. Yet I’m still not prepared well enough for the next big one.

Politics 1 week, 1 day ago“Just old news”, but IMO it’s “just” the newest version of Trump & DOJ’s attempt to meddle with our so-called corrupted election process that Trump, et al, has been claiming to be problem since 2016. The election denier cult hasn’t gone a way in ten years.
IMO Marc Elias has done more, in every state’s court, to fight and debunk Trump’s…[Read more]

Artificial Intelligence 3 weeks, 2 days agoI’ve said a few times now, I believe the problem will be “bad actors”. It’s increasingly easy for bad actors to use AI to benefit themselves or promote an idealism, with potentially horrible consequences.
AI is already able to design human gene-editing processes, with abilities to edit any other species on the way, including pandemic-enhanced…[Read more]

Politics 3 weeks, 2 days agoOld news, but new episode. Republicans in power in Georgia helping Trump/DOJ interfere with their midterm election. Interference began innocently enough back before the 2016 election, when Trump claimed that elections are rigged. This was when he wasn’t expected to win, and then he won.
But he kept “rigged elections” as a theme, created several…[Read more]

Artificial Intelligence 1 month, 3 weeks agoI watched it again, losing sleep, but feel I’m better able to understand of this flaw. I also got a summary from my Perplexity Pro AI:
You’re describing indirect prompt injection: malicious or untrusted content in a webpage—including HTML, hidden text, metadata, or page text—causes an AI agent to treat it as instructions rather than merely as dat…

Artificial Intelligence 1 month, 4 weeks agoEspecially for @RegTheFronkeyFarmer, this relatively new security threat (iirc) can manifest when AI has been given access to (e.g.) a web page that has an exploit embedded into the html. It sounds crazy, but there is a design issue using current LLMs that causes the AI to presume that it has encountered a valid prompt, that looks like it’s coming…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 months agoI remember playing Echoes from Pink Floyd’s Meddle, some 50+ years ago, with the record arm lifted so it would play on repeat. Around the third time, my father unexpectedly burst into my room shouting at me to turn it off, as it was like Chinese water torture to him. So obviously I did, but I had remained astounded that the notes of Pink Floyd at…[Read more]
