Bookish atheists 10 years, 11 months agoOf my top 5 favourite books…three deal intimately with religion. Cain by Saramago and Cats Cradle by Vonnegut should be mandatory reading for atheists. The 100 year old man who climbed out the window also has some epic moments of helarious religious ridicule. My other two in the top five which dont mention religion atr all are Matilda by the u…[Read more]

To Do or not To Do 10 years, 11 months agoIndeed. I was thinking about this a fair bit this weekend. The only reasonable argument (though not necessarily a good one) for outing someone like this is if the person is in the role of a leader or representative (or internally within an advocacy group) … who is working to undermine the rights of others, not as an ad hominem but as an attempt…[Read more]

@Belle
It does matter. You cannot make a sweeping generalization on this issue. The problem (and the solutions) are not uniform cookie cutter that can be the same in all places. A more regional approach makes sense in tackling this issue AND in understanding it.
An incredibly obvious and sensible argument that has fallen on deaf ears too often.…[Read more]
