Simple incompetence could account for why the Secret Service didn’t put a sniper on that roof. But how did the shooter know that rooftop was going to be empty? That seems strange.

From this vantage point (the UK), it seems that it’s normal in the US for people to malign each other’s motives, instead of charitably taking them at face value. In the UK, we would call this “Trumpian”, a grossly obvious way of wriggling out of accountability and responsibility. I don’t know who started it, but I’ve noticed it in the past f…[Read more]

If you use a VPN to go into the Dark Web, the suspicion will always be you’re seeking illicit drugs or accessing kiddie porn.
That’s all most people would know about the Dark Net. I don’t care if people are suspicious. Nobody knows I go there to shut down scammers, try to do deals with ransomware scammers if companies are forced to pay to get t…[Read more]

The Secret Service are saying it wasn’t safe to put an agent on that roof. So that’s why they didn’t. However, it was safe enough for the shooter.

Master sniper thinks something stinks about this attempted assassination. The shooter, he says, had to have inside help.

Either something was intended on assassination day and went (semi-?)right or something is seriously wrong with the Secret Service to allow some bozo to get access to a roof in proximity to the podium.

By now you’re aware that over the weekend a seeming assassination attempt was made on Donald Trump’s life.
Let the conspiracy theories begin.
Why? Because it seems very very convenient.
The right will see it as a sincere attempt on the part of The Biden Administration, the Democrats, the Deep State, some nutty leftist lone wolf, or some leftist…[Read more]

Do a few searches for something you’re really not interested in (snowshoes? solar birdbath fountains) and then watch the advertising suggestions that start happening.

@ Reg
So, now you’re shilling for a VPN Service. I’ve tried watching programs in other parts of the world using faraway VPN servers with NO success. In the case of the BBC
BBC iPlayer may block access to users outside of the UK due to international rights issues. The BBC sells its original programs to other streaming services and TV stations…[Read more]

If you have a VPN, apparently that is how you can access BBC iplayer from the US. There you should find lots of everything you are looking for.
Rebus is meant to be a good crime drama.
