Sunday School 1 year, 4 months agoHamas has expressed the aim of killing Jews in its founding charter and public statements. The original Hamas Charter of 1988 contained explicit antisemitic rhetoric, including references to the destruction of Israel and religious justifications for violence against Jews. Article 7 of the charter cited an Islamic Hadith about killing Jews. Â It…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 4 months agoThe ideology of extremist Islam allows for terrorism and targeted assassination.
The ideology of the State of Israel allows for the subjugation and extermination of the Palestinians.
Not much to choose between them.

I still can’t get over how stupid the lefty ideologues are protecting Islam as an idea.If you’re talking about “stupid lefties” like me, first don’t mischaracterize our position. Sunday School 1 year, 4 months agoPresident Trump blamed diversity requirements at the Federal Aviation Administration and his two Democratic predecessors for the midair collision over the Potomac River on Wednesday night, saying that standards for air traffic controllers had been too lax.

Sunday School 1 year, 4 months agoThe plane crash between the civil and military aircraft was only a few miles south of the White House and just after Sean Duffy and Pete Hegseth took control. Will MAGA and their conspiracy driven hive mind see it as a sign from their god?
The Republicans did a lot of praying after the hurricanes and many are calling for more prayer today. At…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 4 months agoWe have heard a great deal of the sword and the purse. Let us see what is the true meaning of this maxim, which has been so much used, and so little understood. It is, that you shall not place these powers either in the legislative or executive, singly; neither one nor the other shall have both, because this would destroy that division of powers…[Read more]

As for one AI stealing from another one… Hey, business is war. As long as they aren’t illegally hacking and are using data the other AI gives out freely, it would be difficult to mount a legal counter attack, it seems to me.

AI’s can give bad answers. For example, I asked ChatGPT for a baguette recipe to use up 4 cups of flour and it did give me a recipe which lacked any salt. I pointed out that bread without salt would be unappetizing and the AI admitted the error and modified the recipe to include salt.
So, placing too much trust in an answer that you can’t verify…[Read more]

What characterizes mature cosmic horror from its predecessors/progenitors is the impersonal and amorphous nature of the threat. Rather than being a monster, as in the movie Alien (yes, a cosmic horror) or invaders, as in The War of the Worlds, in mature cosmic horror the threat simply is there as a fact, not because it wants to be there or has…[Read more]

In case anyone wants to know what happened in a nutshell. American tech giants have been working on AI in the hopes of monetizing it and dominating the market, generating monstrous amounts of money. I’m talking about Google (Gemini AI) , ChatGPT (OpenAI backed by Musk and others), plus several other major players and numerous minor ones. You can…[Read more]

I think Annihilation, which didn’t do well at the box office will go down in history as a landmark in cinematic history like Blade Runner, which also didn’t knock it out of the park in terms of box office on its initial release, but now is recognized as a one of a small handful of classics.
While the roots of cyberpunk easily go back at least as…[Read more]
