I’m not sure what you were getting at there. I think I was supposed to find it amusing, but I guess there are some bits of knowledge I’m lacking. Please explain.

If his Wisconsin rally is any indication, as a certain musician would say, “The times they are a-changin’.” Go, Bernie!
I don’t think Bernie Bros were ever much of a thing if they existed at all. In a country the size of the U.S., you can find a few people who believe just about anything.
By the same token, there may be a vocal cadre of…[Read more]

@Unseen – The bee population depleted due to the blocking of UV light while the cockroach population exploded.Ā
I was on a client site yesterday. A department manager recently brought in 2 bee hives to the large green area behind their building. It is part of a “green initiative” for businesses. We were talking about “how rumors spread within a…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 2 months ago@Strega, I agree with you on ‘Fracture’. It has a clever plot with a decent twist to it.Ā He is one of those actors you are compelled to focus on, whatever his role in any specific scene is, even when he is silent.

Sunday School 1 year, 2 months agoAntony Hopkins aficionados – thereās a 2007 movie called Fracture, which is brilliant, twisted and showcases Antonyās best talents. Ā Please watch it, if you havenāt already.
(I have to admit, once again I found myself rooting for the villain)

Sunday School 1 year, 2 months agoThe GOP has been telling its congress(wo)men NOT to hold public town halls for now because of the hostility they get from angry constituents and either not do them at all or move online where interactions can be better managed.
This opens up an opportunity for Democrats to hold their own “open to everyone no matter what party” town halls. Bernie…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 2 months agoThe U.S. is more vulnerable than Trump and his advisors seem to believe. He instituted tariffs supposedly to benefit American workers and the auto industry. In response, Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum shows that Mexico actually holds American auto workers’ jobs in her hand. Trump apparently didn’t notice that the American auto industry was…[Read more]

As a youngster I had a massive crush on Antony Hopkins, having watched him play Pierre in Ā a BBC TV series adaptation of War & Peace.
The best part of the SOTL movie was the fact I wanted Hannibal to win, even with the atrocities heād carried out. Ā The movie WAS the villain.

Sunday School 1 year, 2 months agoTrump is learning the hard way that when you try to force people to do things, you are actually giving them an opportunity to go to a Plan B. Trying to force Ukraine to accept giving up land or mineral resources, countries like Poland, France, and Finland seem ready to step up to keep that from happening. Soon, the entire E.U. may unite against…[Read more]

Actually, settling on Venus in zeppelin-style airships is far less fraught with problems. Venus has a dense atmosphere which means that normal earthly air pressure would be sufficient to float air-filled balloons above the ridiculously hot surface of the planet.

The bee population depleted due to the blocking of UV light while the cockroach population exploded. Cockroaches can reproduce asexually. A female can produce viable eggs parthenogenetically without the need of a male. So, all it took was one female cockroach stowaway and the species was off to the races.
Many of the species of plants…[Read more]
