Pope Bob, being a Catholic and with his degree in math, has SIN nailed down. Not sure what he is like with COS and TAN though.

Sunday School 11 months, 4 weeks agoEnco, yes Catholic theology is a carbuncle on the back of reason.
In the grand hermeneutical enterprise of Catholic eschatology, the eschaton emerges as the ultimate telos of salvific history—a culmination wherein temporality is subsumed into the eternal nunc stans of the Divine ipsum esse subsistens. At this cosmological denouement, the resurrect…[Read more]

Sunday School 11 months, 4 weeks agoI agree with Bob. Atheism is practical 🙂
I found it a difficult read as theological word salad makes me despair for humanity 🙂 Such utter nonsense from someone of the same species.

Sunday School 11 months, 4 weeks agoI think I will just call him ‘Bob’. His friends call him that and it was also the name I baptized my neighbors goldfish with in the hour before it died.. He is all about Charity, which will be given in the form of pray and platitudes.

Sunday School 11 months, 4 weeks agoSo does this mean Pope Leo XIV will treat the Laity as numbers?
No, he sees them as sheep and then he counts them 🙂
Now that The Cuddly One is gone, I guess that Pope Love XI will be more of the same…..

I agree and it usually was. I had (have) no problem with anyone being a goth. I am all for people expressing their own individuality, especially with a subversive or non-conformist undertone towards “the system”. I lived in a squat house with 12 people f…[Read more]

Sunday School 12 months ago@Strega – Everyone else wrote “Individuality”, and she wrote “Conformity”.
I had a summer relationship with a goth girl in the mid 1980’s. My style at the time (if style is the word to use) was t-shirt, jeans, sneakers and a packet of Rizla. She was full goth, all the time. She was trying to persuade me to “change my lifestyle choices” or whateve…[Read more]

Sunday School 12 months agoI went for an end of term dinner in an Elementary School in the USA for some relations who were probably about ages 910 at the time. I don’t recall the menu but I will always remember the notice at the front entrance over the flowerbeds. It read “No firearms beyond this point”.

Sunday School 12 months agoPeople can use their critical thinking skills to support their unconscious prejudices. Greyhound racing, for example, is quite wisely banned almost everywhere in America and yet horse racing, which is exactly the same thing applied to a different species, persists.
Go figure.

I guess it would if it was a “government of the people, by the people, for the people”.
