Sunday School 1 year, 10 months agoI’m not sure there’s anything in Islam encouraging nice manners, unless nice manners include burying women vertically in the sands of an arena with only their heads above ground, and stoning them to death for imagined apostasy – often accused by their husbands so he can get rid of them and snag a new wife.
Do yourself a favour and read ‘A Thous…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 10 months agoApparently they don’t like apostates and atheists…
That means they don’t like 75% of the worlds population. That includes me so they can sit on this and swivel.
It’s just not healthy to place that much value in something, so that it is above all else that really matters.
That is very true, especially when what they value most is ima…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 10 months ago@simon. Attilla the Hun had some people who succeeded as a result of his brutality.
Genghis Khan unified all the Mongolian tribes with his brutality.
Alexander III of Macedonia was a fiendishly cruel man who introduced elephants to the art of war. No doubt a few people were happy with this.
I’m not going to mention the German guy.

Sunday School 1 year, 10 months agoI don’t consider that Islam is an organisation dedicated to evil. It’s supposed to be making the world a better place, especially for people who believe in it. I believe it does succeed in some respects that can be seen and felt by people who don’t suffer its bad effects.
But human nature is a faulty and wonky thing, Islam is strongly p…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 10 months agoYes, to an atheist, Islam seems extreme, unbending and oppressive. It’s also been hijacked by patriarchy.
At what time in its history was Islam not patriarchal? If anyone would like to hear what women in Afghanistan think about it, you had better ask them very soon.
But I disagree with what a commenter said – that it’s incompatible with We…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 10 months agoThe episode that i linked was not my intention. She interviews primarily Muslims/former Muslims from various nations that tell their story as it relates to Islam. The bigots are the ones who conjure narratives about good guys/bad guys based on their identity.
Allowing Islam to remain off limits to criticism is a deplorable and unforgivable…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 10 months agoSimon, please don’t swallow the lefty koolaid. Islam is a gigantic and vile cult that dehumanizes and causes untold suffering. It is not something fundamentally ok that is highjacked by some baddies. Here i have linked a podcast series given by a lovely woman who grew up in Islam and is an apostate who escaped a marriage to an Muslim terrorist.…[Read more]
