@Kyrani. “Both sides are using scientific arguments”. I’ve yet to hear a scientific explanation for God – I hear the god of the gaps argument for things that science has yet to explain, but I’m fascinated with the idea that science backs religion in some way. I thought religion was all about faith, and faith by definition was unsupported by e…[Read more]

I have to say I do enjoy reading @Tom Sarbeck’s posts – if you’ve got the time, Tom, I’d love to hear more about your assertion that the universe didn’t start with a ‘big bang’.

Nice! Actually I was quite impressed with the new Irish prime minister, the youngest ever pm. Oh yes, and he’s openly gay. I love your Canadian pm, he’s pretty cool too:)

In line with your intent of maximum benefit to humanity, you should be also promoting genetic engineering and institute a selective breeding program.

Sunday School 9 years agoRight and wrong are subjective, not objective words. Similarly with good and bad. Events are neutral – humans apply significance, emotion and judgement.
If we are considering a broad brush philosophy rather than a personal one, we have to attempt to minimize the subjectivity element.
This is why I requested the applicable definition for ‘wrong’.
