That hillbilly seems reasonable enough. But he hasn’t the facts. De facto slavery in USA lasted well into the 21st century. In many cases it was worse for Blacks after emancipation. Major corporations participated in it as well as private citizens. The feds brought a case against an individual slave owner but the jury did not convict because they…[Read more]

As to critical race theory it is a positive if and only if it is part of a new comprehensive critical approach. It is just one chapter in how we are who we are. It can’t be taught in a vacuum. Not now. Doing so will further divide us and inculcate a sophomoric understanding of things.
We need critical everything. What is the role of religion in…[Read more]

If El Salvador blazes a bitcoin trail will others follow? Sounds insane but so what?
Here is the horse racing article.

Speaking of crypto innovations a new company is turning horse racing into a digital affair. Having watched a race i would say it is on a par with baseball-no it is worse. But of course people are paying big money to own these crypto horses.

Those articles are fine. On the other hand i don’t like the insinuation that the god proposition is on an equal footing with life on other planets. The latter is a near sure thing in my estimation.

Yeah, finally found common ground with Michael!
His either/or is a non sequitur.
Are angels UFO’s? Holy shit, there goes Beelzebub defying God’s laws of physics.

Michael17,
Make a concrete prediction. Lets see if we can generate a wager. As a professional horse player i am always seeking overlays. I could really use a 1 to gazillion that is paying even money.

oh well, back to the races and Belmont Stakes is up next…

Sunday School 5 years, 5 months agoEnco,
GDPR “the right to be forgotten” is also two other words I’d rather not use because they are one of the pass codes for living rent-free in Jake’s head, which has never been my intention.
Too cryptic-say what ya mean.

Sunday School 5 years, 5 months agoAgreed with you Davis but i want to add that it is absolutely fair to allocate a great deal of the harm of colonialism to the the Europeans and Americans. Their religion was not just a mind virus. It was not simply incidental.
It was not enough to simply exploit resources and humans in the new world. They sent their missionaries and did their…[Read more]

Sunday School 5 years, 5 months agoSimon in reacting to your WLC notions perhaps his followers can be intelligent in other ways. A popularity contest has as much or more merit than morality by fiat and authority. At least there is a chance that the crowd will be better informed than the culture that informs Abrahamic morality.
It is so utterly childish and disingenuous to…[Read more]

The guy looks like a starry-eyed mad genius scientist. Craig and any other apologist gonna latch onto that god love like a maggot on carrion. So apologists can continue to distort things and theists can feel justified in extinguishing their skepticism.

Michio Kaku’s new book is the God Equation. Not intelligent for scientists particularly cosmologists to lend a shred of credence to theists. I am mad as hell and i am gonna continue to be astonished and disappointed and do nothing about it. That is what is up.

Sunday School 5 years, 5 months agoRobert i was tongue in cheek. The notion of a free marketplace of ideas is itself a repudiation of the notion. I am often amazed at how putative intellectuals trot it out as valid.
