Sunday School 3 years, 7 months agoYeah Unseen, i know of Timmy H. He is big time big money in Canada. Have heard it is on a par with my local favorite chain, Dunkin Donuts.
I like private tea houses and coffee shops. Some of those tea houses have amazing tea that is just makes the mundane earl greys look like dog poop. And i’ve learned making tea is an art. I think it is far far…[Read more]

I generally side with Enco on the notion that we ought to be free to do as we please even if we are taking undue risks. However it is a balancing test. Harming others, risking harm to others or causing others including government to incur expenses directly related to our risk-taking is where we ought to balance the interests including the…[Read more]

Sunday School 3 years, 7 months agoStarbucks sucks. There coffee is not very good.
Coffee is a great drug. I did not start drinking it until i was a young adult. I used to jump around, up and down, talk in tongues and be generally more nuts than normal. Like a mild for of speed with nice mood elevation.
By now it is so mild that i wonder if i should stop drinking it for a…[Read more]

I’m sure there are many possible issues with AI, but why does the author not specify exactly what those perils might be?-

I was also struck by Enco making some sense albeit smattered with hyperbole.
The issues are sticky when it comes to mandates from the government during pandemics. The don’t tread on me and my liberty is juxtaposed against the greater good. And when the government kept getting shit wrong as to the science it made the libertarian position…[Read more]

The US has had mandatory seat belts as an issue of constitutionality.
If Trump had come out strongly in favor of vaccinations and how it is our patriotic duty to be vaccinated it would have made a tremendous difference. The same morons who detest the government telling em what to do with masks and vaccines would have been just as pissed about…[Read more]

Yes it is too late. America has more guns than books. Almost certainly not true but what has truth got to do with anything?
I’ve been a little disappointed with the sire, Gun Runner. Perhaps i jumped the gun. Then again first saturday in May should see a few Gun Runners run for the roses.

Funniest part of that tik tok was the last line…”before we were even civilized”
Meanwhile our clock goes tik tok, tik tok as we approach extinction and continue to argue about Ukraine and the various issues of the moment without trying something new. Yahoos? Yeah quite so Swift.

Einstein had a theory about relativity. Kaku Poopoo has ideas about ideas-Einstein wannabe. Wavy white hair and feigned pensive distant look of being lost in thought. Good bag. Cheap shoes. Looks like a rube.
Having said that i will take Kaku one thousand times before affable Uncle Bob the affable shingle salesman. Doctor Howard? Doctor Bob?

michael17, i read a book or two by Kaku. Later i heard him say some shit that made me lose respect for his intellectual integrity and acuity. And now this shit. Kaku speaks caca poopoo.

Ya know what is really kicking the can down the road?
It is not about this particular conflict. Not really. What is the underlying issue? The sine qua non of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine? DICTATORSHIPS DICKtatorships ought not be tolerated. Giving one person that much power is a kick in the can. It is beyond lazy, stupid, shortsighted,…[Read more]

I aint kicked the can as a kid. Now i am a man. I aint no Neville, an appeasing devil. I aint got Outer Manchuria dysphoria. Great Northern war? Need i say more? A warm water port. A gentle retort. Peter missed out on the Atlantic Slave Trade. Like Zarex instead of Koolaid.

I am not buying the Hitler precedent. Said it before and i am saying it again.
It is a different geopolitical landscape. I also think China has been made more dangerous to the west. I know both takes are contrary to conventional wisdom.
The way it should have been handled is with every effort towards peace and mutual accomodation.
What…[Read more]

From michael17: You read the mainstream explanations. Which one has your vote?
I don’t know. Mine is not to explain matters lacking sufficient evidence or expertise to describe. No shooting sparks here. I note that unidentified blank is a common occurrence. My supposition is that if it is not contrived by humans, not natural phenomena and it is…[Read more]

Doesn’t matter how satirical, clever or logical you are-ya ain’t gonna make a dent in the world view of michael17. The truth of the mythology is assumed and anything contradicting it is processed in his brain in a way consistent with the preservation of the mythology. I am not sure anyone could change Enco’s ideology either.
So i was wondering…[Read more]
