The Ethylene Glycol used to convert Carbon Dioxide into fuel is itself a by-product of coal burning and requires energy to perform the chemical process. Also, since it is a coolant, it would draw heat and that heat would no doubt deteriorate machinery and materials and could inflame the fuel prematurely. It is also a hazard to the kidneys…[Read more]

Orange Man spoke truth on this one year ago, but of course doesn’t act accordingly now.
Lithium batteries also only work well when within a certain temperature and humidity range. Too low or too high and they don’t produce power, they expand, explode, and create fires. In the past couple of years, electric car drivers found out their…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoIt’s just sweet when people vote with their wallets. Trump has been trash-talking electric cars for years, so this Musk/Trump “partnership” is bullshit from the beginning. It will be even more fun as these aluminum framed/steel skinned “bulletproof”, cyber-“trucks” begin to fatigue. Well, not really bullet proof either. I inherited a few WW2…[Read more]

@Enco – having driven both the Model Y and the ID4, I am happy to keep my old BMW V8. (The E39, if that does it for you!)
V8s made by free people are always the smoothest rides.
Alas, BMW didn’t make any during the war, though. Back then, their specialty as stoolies for the Reich was war planes for the Luftwaffe made by slave labor. B…[Read more]

@Jakelafort – glad you liked the video. I would recommend David McRaney’s book too. I have used his ‘technique’ in debates over the last year with some positive results. It helped to fine tune some of my own approaches.

“Those people aren’t attacking Tesla dealerships. They are tourists showing love. I learned that on January 6th 2021” – FaceBook meme.

By the way, Underwriter’s Laboratories was founded in 1894, 131 years ago. Hardly a short-term quarterly-obsessed business. Nor is anyone using their testing. People who like profit want things that work.

What would be really anti-human would be to run ships beyond their sea-worthiness and sink hundreds or even thousands of humans and the life-suztaining cargo the ships carry.
Or if the shipping companies just cut the ships off in the oceans to be ‘ghost ships’ harboring disease-carrying carrion feeders, and letting the hazardous…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoOne thing is true time and time again. Modern corporations and their CEOs have short term financial goals. They measure themselves by the quarter. We have heard that story for 5o years. Nobody ever mentions that government spending become people’s wages, jobs and contracts for American companies. Until they find out they are the ones getting cut.
As if business would not even open without government contracts?
Nobody mentions that we actually need roads and good safe b…
