Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoAntony Hopkins aficionados – there’s a 2007 movie called Fracture, which is brilliant, twisted and showcases Antony’s best talents. Please watch it, if you haven’t already.
(I have to admit, once again I found myself rooting for the villain)

As an example, here’s some of the clever MST3K patter among Joel and the Robots during Teenagers from Outer Space:
“This movie is like Misery!”
“This movie IS misery!”

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoThe GOP has been telling its congress(wo)men NOT to hold public town halls for now because of the hostility they get from angry constituents and either not do them at all or move online where interactions can be better managed.
This opens up an opportunity for Democrats to hold their own “open to everyone no matter what party” town halls. Bernie…[Read more]

Enco, loved your explanation of your edits.
Thank you. I was hoping someone would catch that.😁
The best part of the SOTL movie was the fact I wanted Hannibal to win, even with the atrocities he’d carried out. The movie WAS the villain.
Huh? Is that like some slam like the crew from Mystery Science Theater 3000 or RiffTrax would m…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoJake,
That movie gave me a strong aversion to ever trying fava beans or chianti, as well as an unhealthy aversion to moisturizer.
But surprisingly not to androgynous characters on screen. Milton Berle, Curly Howard, and Bugs Bunny in drag were more positive examples.

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoI can see a skit in which Putin is feeding on Trump’s brain with fava beans and a good chianti.
Fava beans was a staple of the atlantic slave trade. Ever have em? I like em sauteed in olive oil with pasta. Never found any good ones in cans but i know a Syrian guy who says such exist.

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoRobert and Simon,
It’s like I’ve said earlier: It’s better if Putin has to fear multiple mini-superpowers than just one superpower.
Of course, this means that Europeans will have to spend less taxdollars on butter and more on guns and adopt free-market solutions to things like health care and housing. This will also mean Europeans expelling…[Read more]

Sunday School 1 year, 1 month agoTrump is learning the hard way that when you try to force people to do things, you are actually giving them an opportunity to go to a Plan B. Trying to force Ukraine to accept giving up land or mineral resources, countries like Poland, France, and Finland seem ready to step up to keep that from happening. Soon, the entire E.U. may unite against…[Read more]
