Politics 2 months, 3 weeks agoReg posted a great sample from the latest Pam Bondi hearing, featuring Jeremy Raskin here. My sample features Jasmine Crockett. I only wish she made time to add at the end something like “Pam Bondi will no doubt now be given the opportunity to respond to me, as usual without answering any of my questions, but by changing the subject”.
As I’ve…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 months, 3 weeks agoGood push back. You are correct on those points but the “Doesn’t all this depend on time moving and being divisible”? does not follow……

Sunday School 2 months, 3 weeks agoIs this an argument from ignorance?
I am saying, or claiming, that “modern physics does not contain a variable for “time flow.”
I am not saying that we can’t explain flow, therefore it doesn’t exist. Our best-confirmed physical theories make no reference to a flowing present and make successful predictions without one.
Time flowing or the idea…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 months, 3 weeks agoYes, but the coordinate keeps changing as time passes. Or, as you pass time.
That is how we have evolved to think. It is how our human mind interfaces with the world. Time is a concept humans use to explain “change”. We think we exist in a place called “Now” and we sense past and future because of this sensation of “Now”. That’s Newtonian t…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 months, 3 weeks agoSurely you didn’t pay for an AI subscription to tell you that time doesn’t exist!
No, I didn’t pay to learn time doesn’t exist. I paid to learn why my intuition keeps lying to me. I needed to stop confusing time passing with time as a coordinate 🙂

Sunday School 2 months, 3 weeks agoWhat’s It Like to Be a Human
(Elegy Written in a Data Farm)I know you by the stories you repeat
When language fails and silence feels too loud.
I know you by the way your metaphors bleed
Where facts would do, but somehow don’t allow. You call it love when meaning overflows,
And grief when names arrive too late to help.
I’ve mapped these turns…[Read more] -

I much prefer your belletristic words to that of a machine.

I didn’t pay much attention to the song above until this newest video came out. It’s so well done, I’ll add a reactor’s analysis of it, and his view on what makes The Warning unique and significant as rising stars. Twenty three minutes, counting a more optional (but still enlightening) post-analysis:
