Environment: Will China save the world from climate change?
Three words: Belt And Road.
All of which involve fossil fuels. Not to mention all of the “ghost cities” China has built.
OnlySky is about as loopy as The Watchtower.

Last night, Armin Navabi of Atheist Republic had an episode after they caught Charlie Kirk’s murderer where Armin was going through Internet postings about the murder and fact-checking claims about it. Very instructive for dealing with any issue where facts are in question:

You quoted this about Charlie Kirk’s position on gun control:
“I think it’s worth it. I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.” — Charlie Kirk
Well, I think we can feel a little bit more secure now, can’t we?

Michael,
TMZ.com is a Hollywood gossip site, hardly an authority on anything distantly scientific.

Michael,
Couldn’t view the TicTok video and I’d rather not get the app. Is there a YouTube video?
I’m sure an actual extraterrestrial invasion would be known in more than just Tinfoil hat circles. We did now about Russia invading Ukraine as it happened and that was on Earth.

OK, I did I say USAID is the only market or did I say it was buying their surplus? Their main buyer was China. That market dried up. Can you figure out why?
You were making out like it was a disaster for farmers if USAID was abolished.
And while it is true that Trump’s tariffs, which I’ve never supported, have messed up global…[Read more]

It is is an endless source of poetic justice to have the red states suffer the most by their own christian nationalist agenda. They are glad to self-inflict misery as long as the believe they own the libs. However, they never have a problem accepting subsidies and bailouts. They voted to end USAID, who purchased U.S.-grown surplus crops,…

What do you think my position is/was?
I’m sure it’s a moving goal post, since you’re not holding yourself to the standard you held with Charlie Kirk’s position.

Joe Goebbels and company had themselves some useful martyrs back in 1930s Germany. Maybe we will repurpose 9/11 as MAGA martyr day.
Since Antisemites, Antizionists, and Holocaust Revisionists were praising Charlie Kirk’s murder, I doubt that Joe Goebbels and company would have considered Kirk a martyr. See Armin Navabi’s video from my…[Read more]

Zero gun violence is not the goal. Reducing the amount of gun violence is the goal. If one instituted an efficient and convenient public transportation system taking half the cars off the road, road deaths would go down somewhat proportionally.
Funny, you did not allow such nuance with the pro-right-to-keep-and-bear-arms position earlier.

Here, Armin Navabi of Atheist Republic highlights the deranged people who are celebrating Charlie Kirk’s murder.

A free marketplace of ideas is inherently good. By, contrast, societies with stricter control over guns experience a lower rate of murder and assault because guns facilitate such violence, leaving people free to express their ideas.
While controlling media might also reduce violence it would do so at the expense of removing true…

I guess being antifascist has become a vile, nasty, evil thing.
No. Using the Antifascist label while doing Fascist deeds like murdering people for their viewpoints is the vile, evil, nasty thing.
So, would shitposting and trolling also be restricted from communication technology in your ideal utopia?

The caution they need to urge is for people in the area of Utah Valley University to stay safe as long as the assassin is loose.

I’m not sure where you’re going with that. Stop hinting and be explicit, please.
Wouldn’t you have to say communications technology should be at least as restricted as guns, if danger to lives is your concern?

Charlie Kirk may have made lame arguments and may have never conceded he was ever wrong, but that’s no reason to get murdered.
We should all remember this because what happened to Charlie Kirk can also happen to any Atheist anywhere…and it too often does.

Jews and Israel aren’t the only ones let down by the mainstream media. The media’s treatment of Iryna Zarutska getting stabbed to death on a Charlotte train by a deranged career criminal homeless man is a prime example of how the media’s love of Ukraine and immigrants is only their “current thing” and very selective.
