@theencogitationer – I agree with what you say. I would like to hear stronger condemnation of the Saudi regime but too many Western governments are afraid to ever bare their teeth at MBS. He is the hand that feeds them and they will keep taking his coin. It is no better than Qatar.

And to top it all off, he still didn’t answer my questions of how is Kirill blaspheming Christianity’s morally inverted doctrines and how can Christ be a God if there are people he can’t persuade.
Jake, Autumn. and Davis all need to recalibrate their Turing Tests. If they are looking for a Bot, Michael17 is definitely it!…

@ysumlin, I’ve seen your passion now, and I really hope this group can see more from you, while I hope you can invite more interactivity in this Forum section that can be presented as a list of topics. I will delete this “Can we keep this going?” topic that I’ve started here, or modify it to your wishes, if you disagree.
As I mentioned earlier,…[Read more]

@theencogitationer Hi … I think we share some world-view, e.g. Ukraine. I see them as victims of American arrogance/stupidity, pushed into the maw of the Bear, when they could have done what even Stalin let Finland and Austria do after WWII, i.e. be ‘neutral’ in military terms, while otherwise enjoying all the benefits of capitalism and liberal…[Read more]

@theencogitationer Your two stories (below) don’t really belong in the context of this group (read above, group title and description). But I’ll leave them here for you, anyway.

@TheEncogitationer – I don’t have a problem with the right to bear arms or the right to use all necessary force in order to protect oneself and family or even a defenseless stranger who is under attack. I take that as a given. But the 21 victims in Uvalde were defenseless. The NRA and its political wing, the GOP, should not see them as stra…[Read more]

@TheEncogitationer – Did you click the “church” link? I do like very old churches, especially the stained glass windows but I don’t go to for any inspiration or to hear their softly spoken magic spells. The link features a library that is in use for the last 290 years. My church has a DJ.

Thank you all for your feedback and appreciations of my post even those who do not like or agree with my content even though I have not heard from you. I am a fair minded person and I do not have an ego so I can take it all both the good and the bad with the same respect that we are all humans. Thanks @ Reg, @ PopeBeanie and @TheEncogitationer

@theencogitationer – This may be just idle speculation, but I’ve heard it said that part of the Reason the Romans persecuted Christians is because they heard this talk of eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Jesus and thought it was a cannibal cult.
But it is a cannibalistic cult. Catholics MUST believe that the bread and wine becomes the b…[Read more]

@TheEncogitationer – Yes, Putin has taken a few sheets out of Stalin’s “How to be a Dictator” handbook. Stalin noticed that the Czars acted as “gods” and were treat as such for centuries so the people were already accustomed to leader worship. He has already restored the role of the Orthodox church in Russia and promoted the other Pope with…[Read more]

@theencogitationer – for the record, I am not a number, I am a freeman…..who just happens to look cool on a Pennyfarthing 🙂
Critical Thinking should be taught in schools instead of undergoing religious indoctrination classes. It is a skill that improves with use.

I understand the sentiment about requiring antidotes to theistic nonsense. Lee “the former atheist” Strobel offers a Degree in Applied Apologetics which has an elective in Critical Thinking and Logic. “Well fuck me pink” was the wording that echoed in my mind when I first discovered that.
Every religious person is a former…[Read more]

@theencogitationer – Yes, thanks for the update. I think you published it in last weeks school post by mistake. I had also updated the post to mention the number of victims.
What I am waiting for is not an apology from Catholics. It would, given what we have heard over the last 20-30 years, a meaningless effort. I do not believe them when they…[Read more]

You survived and they are forever stuck in their own private feedback loop. Like it!
That is the thing with most Christian forums. They all say that “Everyone is welcome” but once they can’t counter a point I make they “cancel culture” me. This usually happens when they quote someone like Aquinas or St. Augustine at me or…[Read more]

Come on, how many landlords are demanding a one-year deposit? No landlords who actually want to get someone into their property.
What is much more imaginable is OFFERING a significant discount for a prepayment of one year.
However, you apparently know where landlords are “demanding” a one-year deposit, which is quite an…[Read more]
