Jake has a point that anti-Semitism was utterly rife at the time in Europe. But Jake, Autumn said “fulled by”, not “emerged from”. All of Europe saw strong anti-Semitism. It came to its ugliest via Nazi Germany. Full scale insanity was, in part, fuelled by Germany being put under the same kind of pressures that Palestine is. That doesn’t justify what the Nazi’s did (no one says that) nor does it justify many actions by Palestinian militants. Anywhere in Europe could have brought the anti-semitism trend to its ugliest result. Anywhere on Earth can quickly descend into that. Being meshed in an ideology that lends itself to justifying the unjustifiable makes it all easier. As Autumn has said, even those adorable little Canadians quickly become vitriolic towards scapegoats when facing even moderate challenges.

I am amazed by your insistence of spouting Islamophobic bigotry. Islam is a death cult. That is Islamophobic bigotry. Consider not being such a brazen bigot. That is such a vicious over generalisation. Where is the death cult in Islamic: Albania, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan? These are countries with millions of people who do not engage in “death cultishness” anymore than neighbouring countries with other religions. There is no doubt about it. I have personally had to deal with the fear of being bombed and have seen reminders of it where I go. I lived in Iran for months where I had to hide my sexuality. I am aware of the lower standard of human rights in many Islamic countries. None of this, however, justifies painting as morbidly monstrous and bigoted of a picture of nearly a billion Muslims as you do.

Yes, Malaysia is not ideal. Nor is it a death cult. All the things you talked about happen in non- Muslim countries. They do FGM in Christian countries in Africa. Should we bomb to smithereens the Christians in Nigeria too? Homosexuality is illegal in Christian, Bhuddist and Hindu countries. Should we label them all a death cult as well and justify our bigotry against them. Rape and sexual harassment is ignored or hidden under the table in the overwhelming majority of the Christian (and atheist) world. Remember China has the biggest number of atheists. Shall we murder 10,000 of them in an attempt to root out combatants?

I did not mention Malaysia as a paragon of Islamic virtue, but to show an example of country that is not a death cult, not a fanatical out of control hell hole. It has problems yes. So does every single other developing country with other religions. Pointing out issues does not justify your over the top bigotry. Islam is not a death cult. It is very problematic in many regards, but dehumanising nearly a billion people, painting them with the monstrous brush you do is fucking absurd. I’ve been to 20 Muslims countries. I did not see baby eaters or screaming murderers. I saw issues, serious issues in a few of those countries. I also openly held hands with a man in Istanbul and went partying in several gay clubs and saw a relatively progressive country (more progressive than Christian Poland at the moment). Get some fucking perspective and calm down with your bigotry. It is so unhinged, deranged and down right scary.

Misleading. My point is that there is no respite from the onslaught. Okay, brief periods without being attacked wholesale, just intermittent rockets and terrorist attack. Ok but that is just a minority, a few extreme Muslims, right? No. It is the overwhelming majority of Muslims. It helps explain the acceptance of horrible treatment and terible conditions of Palestinians all over the Muslim world and in Gaza and West Bank. There is no respite from the occupation. None. Ever. While we, as outsiders, can accept that Israel is a done deal and that Palestinians will eventually all have to accept that fact, were we in the position Palestinians have been in for most of the last century, there is no way that would have made sense to us in the 40s, 50, 60s, 70, 80s, 90s. Being less aggressively occupied is not a peace proposition.

Autumn there was a withdrawal from Gaza in 2005 that forced Israelis out of there. They elected terrorists instead of choosing life. Their aid goes to their maniacal objectives. Subordinate life to death. Brilliant. I agree the occupation of the West Bank should have ended. Too late now. I agree that the Jewish right wing settlers are a major problem but with like half a million there now and the propsect of leaving and having it utilized to attack Israel i cant see it happening. But yup it was a bad move. Too bad the nations of Muslims all around especially Sunni countries did not have any regard for Palestinians. There is no peace proposition as long as the Palestinians are enthralled in the death cult.

They were supposed to be out in the 90s, and Gaza was pretty much immediately subject to blockades. But you’re still missing the point. Less occupation is still occupation. Again, as outsiders, it’s going to be easier for us to accept that Israel isn’t going away. But from a Palestinian perspective, even the 1967 boundaries still leave them in a fucked up position. Look at the Oslo accords and how asymmetrical they were from the outset.
