Sunday School 9 months agoAn idea.
Opposition to Trump by disseminating daily/weekly summaries without political spin or charged terms associated with either party. I had this same idea for a post BS world in which humanity is paramount as opposed to ideology. You know the antithesis of the lies/mythology attendant to being Jewish or the state of Israel.
Pace of change…[Read more]

Sunday School 9 months agoOde to Strega
Words come. Words go. Sometimes frozen. Sometimes they flow.
All of us opine as though we know.…..
Ordinarily whether i am writing a short story, starting a novel i’ll never finish or a silly little poem the words come easily. This time and only time in memory i got stuck. What luck.
Apologies Strega

Sunday School 9 months agoYo Strega, you’re welcome, been rhyming since a kid,
Droppin’ playground bars, yeah I always knew you did.
Now we grown, still flowin’, keep the rhythm alive,
Every line you spit got the crowd doin’ high fives. But wait—hold up! I need my Nobel Prize,
For these beats so sick, got the world hypnotized.
Give it now, I said! (boom-boom, drum rol…[Read more] -

Sunday School 9 months agoJake and Reg,
Thank you both. You have no idea how written rhythm refreshes me. If it’s good, which here, it clearly is.
As a baby, my mum discovered if she parked my pram in front of a radio, I would shut up completely, not even to express hunger. So I spent my first year or two in close proximity to the music machine. Rhythm is everything.

Sunday School 9 months agoYo, Musk playin’ rockets like a kid with toy bricks,
Trump stackin’ towers made of ego and tricks.
Two nogoodniks rollin’, think they legends in suits,
But it’s clown-car chaos when they hit the reboot.Bad magnetism, yeah, they push then repel,
Talkin’ big futures while the present’s pure hell.
One tweets Mars, the other tweets rage,
Toget…[Read more] -

Sunday School 9 months agoFrom Pope:
“Awesome observation, it’s not just the lefty white trash.”
Hell no! I see far left and far right as mirror images although the far right is sans putative rationale. It is naked authoritarianism. Yea it capitalizes on the excesses of the far left but it has as its champion you know who. I honestly don’t think anyone who is the l…[Read more]

Sunday School 9 months agoBoth MAGA and Anti-MAGA think in group-oriented ways. The Anti-MAGA espouse racial, ethnic, sexual, gender and class identity politics and the MAGA react with their own brand of identity politics. And both assume their desired group identity has monolithic interests and both tolerate no dissent.
Enco, that’s a good depiction of where it’s at. Nei…[Read more]

Unseen started the topic Why is the Democratic Party so hated? in the forum Politics 9 months ago
Is it because Democrat leaders don’t talk like normal people? They can’t say “pregnant woman,” substituting “pregnant person.”; they insist on reciting their pronouns and want you to recite yours, they insist on saying “unhoused” and seem to find something wrong with “homeless.”
All of these add up to telling the voter “You are stupid” or “you…[Read more]

That’s right, Trump’s electoral strength—and his staying power—have been buoyed, above all, by Americans with authoritarian inclinations.I’ve heard that before. Also that Trump supporters tend to think in a very group-oriented way, they think that groups have to compete, and that their group has to win.

Sunday School 9 months agoI think Bill Maher mentioned this recently. It may have been a different family. But a similar event. A family found Arizona to be “too woke” so they moved to Texas, only to find it was just not conservative enough for them. So they sold everything and
gave their money to the poormoved to Russia. WTF! - Load More
