The Atheist Agora 4 years, 5 months agoThis woman died recently from Covid after intentionally contracting the virus. She is dead from the consequences of her own actions. Moral? Immoral? Or just worth a Darwin Award?

Sunday School 4 years, 5 months ago@Autumn – I think is problem is that people just won’t clean up the forests as they did in the U.S. with the “Make America Rake Again” campaign. It was the greatest campaign ever. It really worked although my fellow farmer friends in Mendocino County would disagree. They are just too liberal, I guess.

Sunday School 4 years, 5 months agoHave a great week everyone! The last video above on refugees reminded me of a poem I once posted on TA.
A poem by Warsan Shire:
no one leaves home unless
home is the mouth of a shark
you only run for the border
when you see the whole city running as well
your neighbors running faster than you
breath bloody in their throats
the boy you went to…[Read more] -

Sunday School 4 years, 5 months agoGood news from Poland which echoes that of other European nations; There has been a “devastating” decline in religious attendance among young people. The leaders of the Sexual Predators Club in Spain meet the Cuddly One to discuss how to deal with the survivors of their abuse who have “felt wounded”.
Afterwards DJ Cuddles went to a record store an…[Read more]

Sunday School 4 years, 5 months agoThanks Enco – I collect new words and try to use the best ones when I can. As for insults my favorite for a long time has been the end of one of the tirades by Hitchens on the death of that vulgar Liar for Jesus, Jerry Falwell when he said that “if you gave Jerry Falwell an enema you could bury him in a matchbox”. At the very end of this video.

Sunday School 4 years, 5 months agoIf someone has been clinically assessed by a qualified professional as having a psychological disorder, then it is descriptive of the symptoms of the condition that the patient manifests. Its usage outside of those settings is generally abusive and most often not even accurate.
Of course when we say theists are deluded we are just being factual 🙂

Sunday School 4 years, 5 months agoIs it dismissing someone, or describing them? It depends how you see it.
As Davis noted relativism can lead to one to thinking that reality is the way you look at it.
The use of big words can lead to a certain amount of opprobrium when someone turns out to be a sesquipedalian. There is no need to be given to prolixity or using pleonasms unless…[Read more]

And whom exactly was the person who saw Mr Polo who was traveling westward by the Himalayas and where was he going? Details man. We need details!! Was he the first man from the East to discover the West?
A monk levitating with a cat on his lap near Tibet? Wow! I bet that no monk do what the cat man do!
Reg, please stop it…that’s was an nepaling pun!

Sunday School 4 years, 5 months ago@Autumn…or that their surface level understanding of affairs qualifies as insight.
Good comment. Reminds me of an adage I sometimes use; “what is common sense to one person is special knowledge to another”

Who said Marco saw a monk defying the laws of gravity? Was that person traveling West at the time?

Sunday School 4 years, 5 months agoI have no problem listening to Dawkins when he sticks to what he knows best. Sunday School 4 years, 5 months agoThanks @TheEncogitiatoner, I hope that Raif Badawi will be set free next month for putting his own thoughts on paper. I have an Arabic tattoo on my right elbow that reads “I am Raif Badawi” whose was imprisoned for 10 years by members of the Religion of Peace.
