BTW @RegTheFronkeyFarmer, the main problem I was having was that, in the list of Groups, there were blank spaces in several parts of the list where several groups should have appeared. Our elevated rights groups weren’t appearing, so I couldn’t reach you or R…[Read more]

Sunday School 2 months, 4 weeks agoEnco,
I stand by what i said regarding the utility of declaratory judgments. I could add to what i said but i will leave it as is.
The ideal scenario is to have SCOTUS lay down the law of the land. Declaratory judgment might be or could be part of chain of causation that lands us there.

Enco,
I have only heard second hand about Real Time’s most recent episode. It is supposed to be repeated tomorrow on either CNN or HBO. I intend to watch.
In terms of declaratory judgments i searched declaratory judgment AI and here it is:
A declaratory judgment is a binding court declaration that defines the legal rights, obligations, or…[Read more]

Enco,
The issues you cited were legal. Those were the law. Economics interests and cultural sensibilities influence the decisions that change the law.
Declaratory Judgment is a tool. It is not the same as an issue fully litigated and having a judgment. In the matter of seizing ballots it could be quite useful. Since it can define the terms and…[Read more]

I was trying to write something about the “MAGA -Mar-a-Goo” face (sic) (or sick) with the idea of the 3 witches conspiring to rig the election in 2028……….they make their own botox using:
Eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog…..
Then Kristi Noem says “Out damn Spot”…..and shoots her dog 🙂
So I dropped what I had…[Read more]

All (in turn):
Double, double, gloss and glare,
Lights that bleach the midnight air;
Blend the sheen and smooth the line,
Freeze the brow and seal the shine.Fill it now with curated glow,
Truth runs thin where filters flow;
Polish cheek and tighten grin,
Let no hint of doubt break in.Drop of serum, pull of thread,
Lift the jaw and smooth the…[Read more] -

Agree with Reg. Not a 4th amendment constitutional issue requiring probable cause. Bill of rights is about protecting individual citizens in their freedom, liberty etc. from government overreach. Not sure there is even precedent for this sort of thing. Seizing ballots? Not just seizing ballots but doing it in a systematic way in an attempt to…[Read more]

Thunder. Lightning. A terrace at Mar-a-Lago.
Enter Laura Loomer, Kristi Noem, and Kimberly Guilfoyle
Loomer:
When shall we three meet again?
In sunshine, rally, or on the air?Noem:
When the polling dips and spins begin,
And truth grows thin in heated glare.Guilfoyle:
That will be ere the set of sun,
When tweets are fired and claims are…[Read more] -

I find it disturbing how far individual officials are willing to stretch legal authority. The cynic in me says “This is part of “MAGA mission creep” for a third term. But the crux of it will be where the situation becomes less about grand schemes and more about how systems behave under pressure. So I think the courts will hold solid.
